Anyone else getting impatient waiting on their Joint Sponsor getting their forms and documents together? I'm dying to get the AOS and IV packet sent to the NVC, but my Dad hasn't finished getting his stuff ready yet.

I want so bad to just phone him and be like, "Have you got any idea how much I need you to JUST GET IT DONE?!" but I know he has his own life to deal with, working full time as a nurse and working on his BSN part time.

I also kind of feel like its my fault a bit, I should have asked him to start getting his Joint Sponsor stuff together the moment we got the NOA2. He could have at least filled in the forms and gotten the documents ready, then sign and date just before sending. We'd probably be well on our way to a case complete by now.

Agreed. Everything has been sent and it's totally out of my control. I'm praying for no checklists, a quick case complete and a July interview with no administrative processing. I feel like that's a lot to ask...

My Wife (USC who has 0 income in 2013 and currently living in India with me) and her father(LPR who is living in US) is a joint sponsor. So we are going to submit my wife/petitioner I864 and Joint sponsor I864...

Could you guys let me know is it correct or not and is there any specific instructions to fill I864 ??? or do we need to fill any other form like I864A ?? as both will be in same house when return to US.

Your wife (petitioner) fills in I-864. Her father (joint sponsor) fills in I-864 and Tax Transcript. You did not mention anything about her mom. If her dad's income is sufficient on his own to sponsor, then no need for mom to fill in I-864A. But dad needs to submit his W2 to show his part of the income.

Just resent the email and got the autoresponse. May have to resend I never submitted my D.O.B. which is kind of dumb because everything else was included.

my income was like 130 just for some training and he had his part.

so of course we are using a Joint Sponser MY UNCLE,

But he lives with us..

SOO MY QUESTION as i read i think i should

file I864 and my uncle i864A??

I have read where people say IV scanned in the NVC system and AOS scanned in the NVC system.

How and where can i go and check that ?

I have sent my documents includiing AOS and civil documents to NVC in the last part of april. Still waiting for any response from them but not sure how do people check that the files are scanned in the system?

You will have to call and ask them specifically if they got your AOS package and/or IV package. If they say they got it that only means they have scanned it in. In a few more days you have to ask if they have approved your AOS package (and later ask about the IV package). They could easily update this info on the CEAC website (eliminating many of our unnecessary calls) but they don't. Hence the call.

I agree with this. I've been waiting for a case number. According to the NVC Shortcuts, they suggest that I call NVC often until getting a case number. Well, I kind of disagree with them. I stopped calling NVC because it usually takes 30 days for them to issue a case number. Plus I won't be able to do anything 4-7 more days until DS-261 is ready.

However, I realize some K-3 visa filers got their case numbers on the day NVC received their cases. There are exceptions to every rule.

Calling once a week in the first part of this 6 week wait is probably quite enough. Later you could call twice a week. Any more calling is just an overkill that only stresses you out. During this 6-week wait I made sure I have everything ready for the two packages. Everything properly labeled. Went over the list (NVC Guide) over and over again. Made rough drafts of the two letters that I was going to attach to the packages. Even wrote the address on the envelopes.

So once the money was paid (drawn from my account) I shipped the AOS package (and later the IV package) the very same day. That way at least I am not responsible for any delay in this already very long process.

You're having a little trouble understanding it seems.

Enroll is for EP, which you don't do, but what you DO do is call NVC to give them your email addresses so that future notifications from NVC come via email to both of you. You'll send your packages by snail mail.

You fill in I-864. Uncle (main joint sponsor) fills in i-864 also.

Just received my iv bill for some reason on my letter i had a "third party agent" and i never listed a third party agent??what are you doing nvc. I called and the representative was very helpful he told me to just email nvc inquiry and have them remove that person. Has this happened to anyone else?
