AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, maybe something will happen. At least they told LoveMyTico they are ALMOST done. When do they start doing interviews again? End of the May or beginning of June? That way I know which one to stress for

Hmm.. We obviously all have a desire for more information than the average person (or we wouldn't be here), but sometimes it is really helpful and even necessary for me to take a step back from both this site, but the whole process, and simply let things happen as they are anyway without my constant concern or involvement.

This won't be a popular opinion here, but when calling NVC every few hours with no different result only makes you more unhappy, that is your sign that you're making things worse on yourself. Calling once a day, or once every 2-3 days, won't change the end result but hopefully will calm the exposed nerve that is never allowed to heal by a constant expectation for information and updates that won't come.

Calling once a week seems to be plenty. At least, that's what i have been doing....and only after two weeks of no activity.

It's not about being judged. It's about what is helpful. If you think calling every 2 hours will change something...no one is stopping you. The point being made is that it is most likely nothing has happened with your case. You are allowed to do whatever you want, but it is your own time that is being spent. Patience is key.

Who's judging? I'm in this process with everyone else. I understand the lure and addictiveness of constantly being able to ask someone what's happening.

If I didn't consciously tell myself 'no' I would be constantly calling and constantly upset by the disappointment of no new information. Just feel bad for us as a whole and wanted to offer my perspective on how I handle the pressure of the constant questions - "what's happening??" and "when will I be with the person I love??"

Hello VJ family. I have been keeping away from the NVC threads because even though my petition was approved on March 6, NVC still hasn't received it. I sent an email to NVC Research on April 21 and got the following reply today, May 14:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center received your inquiry and the attached I-797

Notice of Action - Approval Notice. Unfortunately we do not have a

record of receiving your approved petition from the Department of

Homeland Security's Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

(USCIS). To assist you in determining the location of your petition the

NVC will contact USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of

this petition.

Sincerely,

Jess

4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
