Thank you and there are a few of us that are unique and boy does it suck. Wonder how long to get an interview for beneficiary? In Egypt it's 6 to 8 months they say. :( Ok I depressed myself yet again.

Getting an interview is like a miracle. I know people that have been waiting for 7-8 months and some for 2-6 years to get an interview. It's horrible and the last week and this week the embassy is closed due to the ####### that's going on and according to them they are low staffed, and many zillion other reasons of things.

My biggest fear is not going through the process in the u.s. It's once it's in Yemen. That's the hardest part for me and what makes me worry.,but inshaAllah, everything will work out.

AOS fee shows as paid so were just waiting for the IV fee so we can do the ds260. From my understanding it's taking about 2 weeks from when the ds260 and packets arrive for a cc if there are no checklists? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm over 2 weeks now (IV scanned 28-Apr and DS260 completed 25-Apr) and still waiting for CC.

I hope to get something today or tomorrow.

Good luck

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

I'm really sorry you got a checklist! I was really hoping you get a Case Complete and get out of the queue! but I guess it is not time yet! Good luck with the supervisor review! It usually takes couple of days even if they say it may take 30 days!

I myself ALMOST forgot to send the original police certificate. I left it in the copy machine in the post office. But I remembered it after I sealed the envelope!

I run back to the machine and found it still there!

Almost .....

I'm hoping to get a case Complete today!!!!!!!!! I will hold off on calling until noon!

Good luck All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! The bold underlined part was what I was hoping to hear ^_^

I got a mail from NVC for Checklist Cover Letter.

It states,

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicants supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.

Is it a false checklist?I had send all documents to NVC in april itself.

I received the same one, it's false and should indicate your AOS was accepted. :P

So I just had the pleasure of speaking to AH-THUR about my checklist, and he said that I can go ahead and send the corrected forms, even though I don't have the checklist email yet. I had asked if I could use the original barcode from my AOS payment. Should I trust him?

hahha, Ah-thur is how I heard it too

I have heard of other people using the original barcode when sending earlier than the checklist arrival. And I'll be using my IV barcode to send in my police certificate today even though I haven't yet received a checklist (when I make up my mind whether I should do it or not! )

How likely is it that someone at NVC just hung up on me? After waiting on hold for 37 minutes, a grumpy woman answered and told me that there will be a checklist asking for my I-864 form, which I already sent in. I told her that I already sent it in, so I was wondering if the checklist was asking for the whole package or if it was specifically asking for my i-864. Then she paused, I heard her chewing something crunchy, and then she hung up. Perhaps the call was dropped, but Skype usually tells me if a call is dropped versus if someone hangs up....

Feeling super frustrated right now. :/

My call dropped early this morning too! But no grumpy woman or crunching :jest:

That's about right :P

I'm just wondering if maybe they think it is incomplete because you said there are 2 pages. Maybe the page you sent them says something like "Page 1 of 2" so they think they are missing something when it's really just an explanation page that's not necessarily needed. :huh2:

Well I didn't mention to NVC that there is a second page, and I checked and there is no indication of page 1 of 2.

The funny thing this morning is that Jean also said there is another package yet to be reviewed per her information... and I didn't send anything else, so I have no idea what that's about  . I asked if it was the DS260 and she said 'no, that's been accepted'.

She also stated they have my birth certificate, marriage certificate, but 'not' my police certificate. Now whether that means it is truly not there, vs they expected more than just the 'important' page that I sent them, I'm not so sure.

I still can't decide whether to send in my letter and both pages of the certificate :P

Thanks for your reply! I've been following what happened with your case, hope you get it figured out soon!

thanks!

ooooo, so some fine print at the bottom of my scanned copy states:

On the reverse side of the certificate letter are the Calgary Police Service Search and Disclosure guidelines.

So the Original already has this information on it!! woot. I wondered why I didn't recall actually receiving 2 pieces of paper!! It's because it WAS one originally, but I scanned both sides therefore have 2 pieces of paper! (need new emote: epiphany!! :D )

I will await the Supervisor review! Unless it's lost, they have the full document
