Question, if the bar code is available right after paying the bill and some people send both the AOS and IV in together does this mean that the one Bar code is good for both or do you have to send the other one if there is another one later? Me a tiny bit confused and my teeth (dentist appt in morning) are killing me from a fall. :( Thank your Saylin-ness. :D(F)(L)(F) Your Empress, your Highness, your Majestyness. ;)

No, the bar-code is not good for both. Those that send the packages together have to wait until the IV bill is paid to obtain that bar-coded cover sheet and then they send the packages.

Personally, I wouldn't send the packages together, but rather separately as you do waste a bit of time on the AOS waiting on the IV. It's not that big of a deal if both packages are accepted (since you'll have to wait for the IV package to be accepted anyways), but if you get a checklist on the AOS, the difference between sending the AOS right away and sending it with the IV package can be around 2 weeks. Just my two cents though ;)

Thanks, just got off the phone again and Jean suggested that if I mail another copy, and they 'find' mine and accept it in the meantime, it WILL delay the case as they'd have to pull the file and open it to review again if more mail arrives.

So now I'm really torn about whether to send another copy including the second page, or wait for the supervisor review (standard 30 days speech for that).

How long for most people's supervisory review? Am I correct to think it's been just days or has it been weeks? :clock:

Good morning :goofy:

I'm really sorry you got a checklist! I was really hoping you get a Case Complete and get out of the queue! but I guess it is not time yet! Good luck with the supervisor review! It usually takes couple of days even if they say it may take 30 days!

I myself ALMOST forgot to send the original police certificate. I left it in the copy machine in the post office. But I remembered it after I sealed the envelope!

I run back to the machine and found it still there!

Almost .....

I'm hoping to get a case Complete today!!!!!!!!! I will hold off on calling until noon!

Good luck All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I just had the pleasure of speaking to AH-THUR about my checklist, and he said that I can go ahead and send the corrected forms, even though I don't have the checklist email yet. I had asked if I could use the original barcode from my AOS payment. Should I trust him?

How likely is it that someone at NVC just hung up on me? After waiting on hold for 37 minutes, a grumpy woman answered and told me that there will be a checklist asking for my I-864 form, which I already sent in. I told her that I already sent it in, so I was wondering if the checklist was asking for the whole package or if it was specifically asking for my i-864. Then she paused, I heard her chewing something crunchy, and then she hung up. Perhaps the call was dropped, but Skype usually tells me if a call is dropped versus if someone hangs up....

Feeling super frustrated right now. :/

My line just disconnected as well, as soon as the person picked up! Either it's a glitch or it's the same crunchy lady. I redialed...

Good luck getting through.

Don't know if this will work or not...

Find, download, and install a free program called "BullZip". Bring up the transcript on your computer, and instead of printing a hard copy to your printer, point to the "BullZip" printer in your printer list. This will print the document to a *.pdf file that will show up on your screen. Save this BullZip document on your computer. PERHAPS this new document will not be security protected.

Give it a whirl...

AOS fee shows as paid so were just waiting for the IV fee so we can do the ds260. From my understanding it's taking about 2 weeks from when the ds260 and packets arrive for a cc if there are no checklists? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm just wondering if maybe they think it is incomplete because you said there are 2 pages. Maybe the page you sent them says something like "Page 1 of 2" so they think they are missing something when it's really just an explanation page that's not necessarily needed. :huh2:
