Ok, so now I'm officially sad...

NVC just told me that the only thing they're missing is... the Police Certificate...

It is the last page of my IV package!, has my NVC case number printed on it, the gal was very friendly and we discussed what I had sent/ what was on the certificate as I have a copy right here to refer to... she said that sounded right...

'So where do we go from here?' I asked. She said she can have the file pulled and looked at again, but if they can't find it I'll have to provide another.

I asked about sending another copy and she said it's up to me.

Here in Canada, it's pretty simple, the RCMP/ police stations have the forms to fill out, listing that we need this for Immigration, the search is local and Canada-wide.

I'm now crushed, as I was hoping for CC tonight or at least this week. So now I'm into believing there will be no interview until July for sure

Should I send another copy?? If I send it and in the meantime they approve my case, will sending this cause a delay when they then try to match it up with my file?

I am so sorry Lakehouse. I was actually going to ask if you had heard anything yet.

I don't think there is any harm is sending in another police certificate. If they end up completing your case and you already sent another, then it shouldn't affect anything. But maybe others have some better insight on this.

my case was approved on 5/8/2014 .. it has been a few day , i still hadn't receive the "case shipped to NVC" update. should i be concerned ? i waited 14 months for the NOA2...it would sux if my case sits in NSC for another month..thanks guys

So an update on my Greek checklist.

I called and freaked out on Candace (I think that was her name. I was in such a hurry because I had to go set things up for an Induction Ceremony at school). I told her that I received a checklist that I clearly didn't understand. She apologized and said that their new system is resending checklists in those funny symbols. Then she confirmed that all my civil documents and DS-260 were approved and that they're waiting for my revised AOS before completing my case. And that's when I told to go downstairs to the basement because my revised AOS was sitting in a bin somewhere for a week (I was kind of embarrassed after I told her that... Even though I said it in a joking manner). She was really nice though and told me to wait 30 days lol.

After this whole process, I never want to hear "wait 30 days" ever again!!!

No interview yet.....no idea when they will schedule interviews for Montreal....the woman I spoke to said she was "pretty sure" they were still scheduling for June, "pretty sure" ... That's doesn't sound good to me.....I want and need a June Interview. I can't wait another two months to be with my hubby and step kids.

Saylin, I'm preparing my AOS documents to be emailed for EP. Since you are the expert on PDF stuff I thought I should ask you. I just realized the Tax transcripts that the joint sponsor sent me are security protected. It will not let me remove the security protection in settings even though I know the password.

Do you think there is any way around this? I remember reading that the NVC will not accept documents that are security protected.

Don't know if this will work or not...

Find, download, and install a free program called "BullZip". Bring up the transcript on your computer, and instead of printing a hard copy to your printer, point to the "BullZip" printer in your printer list. This will print the document to a *.pdf file that will show up on your screen. Save this BullZip document on your computer. PERHAPS this new document will not be security protected.

An RCMP certificate is small. I wonder if it fell to the floor when they opened your IV package.

I'll put my RCMP certificate with a paper clip on the first page in my IV package.

Just got thru to NVC and apparently the place it "must" be sent for iv packet is to attn:dr no other address and she had no explanation as to the three options and if either one was fine no explanation just an attitude gotta love this process

It takes a couple weeks, sometimes less, sometimes more, to get to the NVC. I wouldn't be concerned about an update as not all service centers provide that. Call the NVC in a couple weeks and see if they received it

14 months!!?? Sorry to hear that.

NSC will send you an email letting you know that your case has been shipped to NVC in about a week from your NOA2. Then, it'll take 7-12 business days to reach NVC. Then, it'll take a month to get your case number.

We got our interview date tonight. June 12th! Thirteen months, and a few days since we filed our I-130. Seems like forever. I'm moving on to the interview thread, but best of luck to everyone. Hang in there! The CC's and interviews will be along shortly.

Just did, but honestly my case wouldn't be helpful to a lot of people on here. It's so unique lol and it's the one and only time that it sucks to be unique.

Thank you and there are a few of us that are unique and boy does it suck. Wonder how long to get an interview for beneficiary? In Egypt it's 6 to 8 months they say. Ok I depressed myself yet again.

Austin, my certificate is from the Calgary Police Service/RCMP but is not small like you describe, it's a full page document.

It essentially states that the search based on my name/birthdate has not disclosed a record of criminal convictions in Canada's National Repository for criminal records, nor in Calgary's local indices and the Alberta Court indices.

When I went into the Police office, they 'knew' exactly what form I had to fill out for the purposes of immigration, and actually sent me to another/larger Center for filing the request form, so why is mine different than yours??

Oh no! I always give NVC employees the benefit of the doubt, but they often seem to make extra efforts to clear said doubts. I would send another copy with the barcode sheet and a brief written explanation.
