Congrats on your approval! No, I never got anything from VSC and had no idea when it shipped or when NVC got it. A couple weeks after I was approved I started calling. First time NVC said they didn't have it. Second time they did. So I think you'll just have to call NVC every once in awhile to check in.

I also got approved from the vsc and i never recieved and email stating it was shipped i also called every week and it was a month later i was told from the nvc they had just recieved

My Tuesday Morning update VIA Waldo

Me: Hi Waldo , have there been any updates?

Waldo: The package we received on may 8th is being reviewed by a supervisor

Me: does that just mean it was received by the NVC or is it really on someone's desk?

Waldo: Its on someone's desk and it could take up to 30 days to review

Me: Well, let's just hope it doesn't take that long

Waldo: I have to tell you that. Now is there anything else I can try to help you with?

Me: Uhhhh are they still scheduling for June interviews?

Waldo: Yes, we are still scheduling for June

Me: Thank you Waldo, you have been most helpful

Good news! You should have your case complete by end of day then!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

I called yesterday and like most others in my similar position were told- received mail on this date, takes 30 days.... blah blah blah.

I am extremely happy for those who recently got case complete- I stare and analyze and stare some more at the spread sheet trying to plan and figure out WHEN.

recently I observed several cases completed well BELOW the average of 54 days, but in the past dew days some OVER the average...

I hope and pray that I have done everything in my power and said the right prayers to get a rapid completion, I have asked my congressman to make an inquiry four times now throughout the whole process, twice in the last few weeks. not sure if ANYTHING or ANYONE will get this process to move faster I just hope to be in or below the average time frame. I hindsight it is the USCIS 7 month process that is the most ridiculous the NVC seems to be pretty consistent and their work can be understood, respected, and planned for. I can come up with a few reasons WHY I THINK the USCIS waits so long and some of them might be even true. either way I feel blessed to be as far along as I am, and so close to a resolution to my family situation. MY ONLY REGRET is not understanding immigration law in the beginning, I could have planned better and made our time apart shorter. Having this forum available has helped tremendously with understanding and as a source for answers to the difficult and sometimes very personal questions.

after all we are ALL in the same boat, I hate it when I feel or see others feel that this person was lucky, or I am unlucky, I am happy for all of us who ultimately make it through, and I respect the work of the people at the NVC even if they are having a bad day and it shows. I never let it bother me, I just want to move on with our lives.

From personal experiance and my deep love for the SOB''s :ranting: at the US Embassy have everything translated by whom ever they have on their list of translators they will accept. They are horrible so don't take a chance even if they say you don't need it. Good luck to you. (F)(L)(F)

By the way do you know how long it takes to get an interview date at the Cairo Embassy? Or will you be going to the one in Alexandria?

I know- that's what we were thinking too....might as well just translate it.

So far, from that other post, no one recently has posted how long it has taken to get an interview. Once I get scheduled I'll definitely report....hoping to have a case complete by mid June at the latest.

Do they do interviews in Alexandria? I hadn't heard of that. But my husband's will definitely be in Cairo because our NVC case number starts with CRO (obviously Cairo). Did you get a case number yet?
