Last time I applied for a visa I was put on AP after the consular interview for 13 months before it was issued! Prior to that I had F1, F1, B1/B2 and J1 visas over the years with no AP, and I have never overstayed any of them.

Hello everyone glad to join you all. I got a very fast approval which am happy about but I don't know how long and what happens next. Guess I shouldn't complain cos I have it better. Anyway please can somebody tell me if VSC sends an email when they mail your docs to the NVC pls and what the timeframe is taking for VSC to send? I am not seeing too much of any of VSC pls. Just got off the phone with Gabriella and she said that the DS-260 has been looked at it and is fine as well as the Immigration Visa papers but they are waiting for the corrected AOS. And I was like, "Yea, that was scanned in a week ago. It's there." So then she said to give them... Guess how many days guys?

So basically I would have had a Case Complete if it wasn't for the paralegals mistake. Good times.

I did not know they keep a log of how many times we call. I was so embarrassed.

Seriously etrangais, you need a group intervention. Better yet, take your router/phone and put them in the freezer for a while. It worked for credit cards before the days of online shopping (yes... I'm that old).

I have a question that I'm sure there's a simple answer to, but I'm a bit unclear. So for the IV documents I understand they do not need to be translated. My husband's passport and our marriage certificate are already in both English in Arabic. However the police certificate and birth certificate will not be. When I send them into the the NVC I don't think anyone will be able to read Arabic...so how will they know I've completed the IV requirements? Do you put a sticky note the ones that are not in English telling them what it is? We are thinking to translate them anyway, to be honest...but if anyone can explain how that works with untranslated documents, please let me know.

If NVC followed their own rules, there should never be a need for translation from the official language of the Post hosting country. Yet, you cannot count on that, especially when you consider the low cost of translation compared to sending another DHL/FedEx packet, not to mention the agonizing delay.

For the record, Arabic documents require no translations if submitted direct to the US embassy in Kuwait for student and other non-immigrant visas. I would still translate everything going direct to NVC.
