If they can see that they received mail from you it means it has been scanned into the system.

Usually, it takes 2 to 3 weeks after its scanned for the packet to be reviewed!!!! so, this is very disturbing and I hope they are not backlogged again.

You should've gotten case complete already bu now if everything wasw done correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much! I think the review is starting from May 1st, which was when the DS260 was submitted. Could it be? If so, we might be hearing something this week (2 weeks) or the next (3 weeks).

Thank you so much, I'm relieved to hear they've likely started review of our case :)

Not really - they didn't submit the DS-260 til May 1. The IV packet civil documents are not reviewed (as I understand the process) until the DS-260, so I would guess that the clock doesn't start ticking until both the DS-260 and IV packet are both in the facility.

Ok... May 1st is probably the day we need to keep in mind, for the 2-3 week reviewing time. Thank you :)

I'm not updating my I864 because it won't change (I'm not using my current income to sponsor).

If you change your I864 then yes, bring the updated one and the extension.

You called them 4 times today!? :wow: LOL!

I guess you're waiting for the good news of CC, eh? :star:

Yes, they keep track of how many times you've called. :secret:

I don't know if they record the conversation though.

Shame. What a waste of energy to convey to someone that is looking for information during the last few days of an incredibly long process. Hmmm wonder what he was hired to do... Maybe answer a customer service line? They surely do get tapped into a supervisor auditory visit at any given moment although I'm sure it's less of a priority to them while being overloaded with the mess you know who passed on to them.

I just spoke to an elderly lady who was very kind and did the song and dance she's forced to give us: it's only been 6 working days since we received your IV packet and we have up to 30 days to review your package.

I thanked for her kind and informative answers. She says "you are our customer and you deserve to be treated with care for all you have had to go through." I told her what a breath of fresh air it was to be treated respectfully as the group before this stage was not as gracious. I told her that we kept up with all of them on the visa journey website and that she was going to get five stars. I could hear her blush as she said " you guys have to go through so much. Thank you."

I'm pretty sure her name was Edith. I had to call 32 times to pass through the busy signal and waited maybe 22-23 minutes on hold and the whole call lasted exactly 30 minutes.

I hope the supervisor of your "Visa Specialist" was listening in as that will certainly warrant further discussion at least.

But I still treat people like I want to be treated but if someone wants to get sassy with me I assure you I can take care of myself. These people ARE government workers and therefore work for us. If they don't realise that or understand what we have been through and how close we are to the end and are EXCITED then I hope they find another job soon and learn to regret their behaviour. I know, probably wishful thinking but as always, it is what it is.

I nominate Edith 2014 Visa Specialist of the year
