Hi all, long time no speak! Just wanted to check-in and find out how you know when you have reached case complete at NVC? Do you receive an email saying so, or is it a case of the oh-so-familiar calling up of NVC?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

you will eventually get an email, but after 5 days to a week after actual Case Complete. If you are patient enough, you can wait for the email, but I guess most of us here are not patient enough, so we keep calling until we here the magic words (Case Complete) and then after couple of days (usually next day), we start calling again asking if the interview was scheduled already.

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

Thanks etrangais!!! my case is sort of simple but sort of complicated.. both of us are living abroad, so its a bit tricky since i don't have a full time residence in the states... it might make it a bit less nerve wrecking to have a lawyer... its just so expensive!

Can't you use your parents residence? Or any other family member, that would take care of that problem and not need a lawyer who will delay and take your money. :D Much luck to you.

Do you have all the vaccinations? If you don't then click NO, I believe you can add will have by interview. I haven't filled this out yet but you can find more information on Saylin's first post on this thread. If you do have documentation then click yes. Please check the first post to be clear on this matter. :) Good luck to you. (F) (F)

Thanks for posting that, it'll definatley help me prepare. Should I enter my wife's (sponsors) who is here in Canada with me, USA address where we'll be living? or her currrent address here in Canada?

Hi! I'm not sure I understood your question. But, the DS260 is a document that refers mostly to the person immigrating. So, it asks where we are currently living, where we lived and things like that. At some point it also asks where the US citizen who is petition lives and the address where we both will live.

Hello everyone! Newbie here :)

My name is Mike and I am the US Citizen petitioner. My wife Rosalit is Dominican. We were married last October and had an NOA1 date of November 13.

We were approved May 8 at the Texas Service Center. I'm hopeful to see the NVC receive my case before month end, though I think it will be a while for the Case Number.

I've submitted to be added to the NVC sheet and wanted to pop in and introduce myself to the group.

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Even though you got your case number and invoice number, its not ready in their system. IT will take at least a week before the payment portal will open for you to pay. You will have to pay with US checking account.
