I wish!!! I gained weight with all the stress!!!

not only teh stress, I also had surgery for a torn meniscus so I stopped jogging for couple of months now.

but this is nothing compared to teh pain of going through USCIS and to some degree NVC!!!!!

I don't know if I'll ever not be mad at USCIS when this is all said and done. I've lost weight as a result of this stress. NVC does move quicker than USCIS and in general the Agents are WAY better. Some of these delays at this stage are just goofy.

When do you think you'll be able to start jogging again? I started jogging 7 weeks ago and that's actually been a great stress reducer for me!

The worst step in the NVC process is the intial wait to get a case # assigned.

After that, things seem to be resonable to some point!

Wow, I can't believe this! I mean I am super happy for you, but damn you got lucky! The majority if not all of us here have to wait at least 30 days!! I am still waiting for my case number and NVC received my case on april 15th! I also noticed that you got approved soo quickly at uscis, how did you do that?

Thanks. I guess i got lucky.i sent in all required documents and extras and i was surprised when i got my approval letter. Wasnt expecting anything till june.

are you kidding? Doctor told me to give up coffee because she said when you are stressed all the time and then add coffee to the mix, your body never gets a chance to rest...You are in a constant hype. Stress releases cortisol which creates belly fat.... ( maybe not so much in men) I used to drink a pot of coffee myself. I tried to switch to tea but I just don't like tea. I have 2 decaf's a day because I really really love coffee. I wouldn't say I gained a ton of weight but I do feel disgusting and I know stress is the cause. Since I gave up coffee, I feel so tired all the time... I just can't win.

Stress is evil and this process is just not good for your health. It causes tension between spouses and anxiety 24/7. I hope this is over soon so we can all start to live normally. I dream of the day when I don't have to worry about calling immigration or when I might see my husband again.

I want to live a normal life.

my meniscus is fine now but I found out after the surgery that I have a partially torn ACL.

It bothers me from time to time and surgery is not an option unless it is completely torn.

I'll take it for now until my knee regains its strength through therapy

Hey guys, I wanted your opinion on the AOS packet.

I still don't have my 2013 transcript but will be providing a full copy of everything I sent in to the IRS (1040 with W2s, W7 application, and Foreign Income Exclusion), thinking of also including a copy of the ITIN letter I got too. I'll also be including my incentive letter with the company letterhead showing my new salary for 2014.

Would all of the above be sufficient instead of a transcript?

Also, I was thinking of providing 2012 and 2011 transcripts but the problem is I didn't work at all during the 2011 tax year bc I was a full time student and my parents claimed me as a dependent. I did however get copies from the IRS stating that I did not file a return that year and also have the University's tuition on there that my parents claimed as as deduction to prove I was in school. I could also include a statement explaining why I did not file that year.

Do I really need to provide those other years or would that just be too much info? I really wish I had the freakin 2013 transcript already.

Can't wait to hear them say that the IV package is accepted! And then that the AOS package is finally accepted. And then that we have case complete! I even dream of this... how sad!

Btw I was wondering, are you going to book flights for your wife and son after they receive their visa or will you book it before? It must be so exciting to book flights for all three of you!! :-)

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

I gained a few pounds with all of this but it isn't the overeating. It is the constant stress and anxiety, along with lack of sleep and worrying. Now if I were nervous about the whole process then I would have lost weight. Hoping the hubby will be here by summer so I can actually fit into my summer dresses.
