so, I swear I read somewhere that all documents NOT in english must be translated.

So my husband goes for his police certificate after the embassy receives our file. Per NVC a few minutes ago, the police certificate does not need to be translated because Spanish is the official language in Costa Rica. That makes it quicker for us . . and when I sent the new birth certificate, NVC told me I didn't need to get it translated. really?

Consistency would be such a bonus though

I hate this waiting game

On a good note, they are still scheduling for June .. sounds good to me !!

consistency?!? nahhhhhhh :P

Did they say they are still scheduling for June all over? Or just Costa Rica?

Thanks for the response. We are eligible for i864ez because he is filling this form for each of us separately because me and my daughter are not sponsored on a single form. There are two petitions one for each. My spouse will submit all the documents for both of us against our own case numbers. He is a employee so he does not need to file 1040ez because his earnings are limited to his salary only. All the documents listed by BOS-LHR are available also the tax return as MFJ for last five years available.

AOS PACKAGE QUESTION

Maybe this was answered already.. But just double checking...

on Saylin's wiki it says:

^^You have two choices here of what to send in:

- Tax return transcripts ordered from IRS (preferred by NVC and of most consulates/embassies) RECOMMENDED

OR

- Tax returns (1040),W2s, 1099s, and any other schedules/worksheets (if applicable)

Ok.. my question is.. do I HAVE to order mine and the sponsors tax transcript or is that something that comes in the tax return forms?? (silly question I know :bonk: ) Or what if I just sent the w2s and check stubs will that be enough for them.. I really don't want to get a checklist..( I know .. I should really read the last statement in Saylin's AOS package.. )

You should be able to download the transcripts right off the IRS website :)

please help.

My wife PCC denied as she did not change her maiden name in passport and has no husband name on passport. We were planning to change once she will be here .

So now she have to apply for new passport then and then only she can get pcc.

Will this effect our case ?

should we submit both old copy of passport and new one in iv package ?

Do we wait to fill up DS260 till we get new passport??????????

Please some one answer.

i submitted old passport with cancelled stamp and the new passport with my AOS documents. Also, i sent a notarized letter (one and the same person) saying that wife name last name and wife name new last name are the same people.

IMO, read Saylin's WIKI and only send what is required. You are already approved. NVC doesn't approve anything, they only process the Visa paperwork. You can take your extras to the interview and if they ask, you will be ready

hahaha, I read it, I'm obtaining new ones, I'll send them next week, that's one of representatives advise me. Some are valid 6 months, some only 3, so after submitting DS260, I went to obtain new, but it's fast here, and translators will change only dates. ;)

yesterday while i was filling DS260, i was wondering, I'm master of science, so i was rechecking the dates and streets from high school, that was centuries ago hahahaha, so everything crosed my mind like this permit of stay LOL

Maybe one day in the future, on a planet far, far away, my case will be complete and I will telepathically let you know what happened (as by the time my case completes, that's how we'll be communicating).

And my AOS was scanned in on the 18th - it's been reviewed and accepted.

But I'm still waiting for my IV package to be reviewed (scanned in on the 24th). So if the IV reviewers haven't gotten to yours yet and you're 6 days before me, I guess I have at least another week of waiting

I'm betting you'll hear the good news very soon!!!

Mine was scanned in on the 24th as well.. calling tonight to see if there is any news.
