May I ask a silly question?

Does NVC always schedule interviews 30 days or more after CC? I've seen everyone getting June interviews and I checked Dwheels' spreadsheet, and it seems that way. I thought that since Buenos Aires embassy has very little inmigrants my interview date would be right away after CC. How wrong am I?

And yes, it's typically around 30 days from CC to interview date. But, as with everything, it can be shorter, it can be longer, depending on the consulate/embassy. If Buenos Aires isn't a busy embassy, then you may get lucky and get a sooner interview date than 30 days from CC, but definitely no guarantee.

Costa Rica has very few also so my plan is to call and ask for an earlier interview when mine is assigned. I have dealt with the US Embassy in Costa Rica before and they were very, very accomodating in the past !!

Try and see if you can get a sooner appt. You never know til you ask.

You'd have to wait until the consulate/embassy receives your case from NVC because until then, they won't know anything about you.

I will because that is just how I am...

They don't know anything about you so they might not want to change the interview until they have your file.

Most likely they will tell you that you have to wait for the instruction package. I know Costa Rica will email it .

I plan on getting the email and sending my husband to the embassy to pick up the package because they DO NOT mail anything in CR. CR has the most unreliable postal service.

Hey guys - what's the difference between a short form and long form birth certificate?

I'm not sure about every country but usually the short form doesn't include everything like hospital, parents names, doctor. Extra... The long form is more detailed

NVC wants the long form. I think I recall seeing checklists for sending short form.

I know it will sound super trivial and shallow but we need to be in the US by mid-july because we spent a lot of money on Beyonce and Jay Z concert tickets and we wanna be there on time!

Not shallow... I am sure you spent a small fortune.... If USCIS had a organized process you wouldn't even have to ask

Do everything you can to get in and out of the interview... asking for an earlier interview can't hurt. If you don't ask, you will never know

I have a question...i am seeing people getting checklists for not putting n/a in some boxes...i think its on the AOS form. Is this correct? Every single line or box needs to have something in it correct?

So I called NVC this morning to find out our interview date. As I posted before, the very first time I called I spoke to Arthur. Since then I haven't had the pleasure of speaking to him again. Until today! What an a$$ he is!!!!!! As soon as I started saying the the case# he literally started screaming at me. I can't hear you! Talk louder. So I started screaming my # at him. Then he yelled turn off the speaker there's an echo. I wasn't on speaker. He yelled go in another room then. I CANT HEAr YOU!!

I was in my kitchen and I was on my iPhone. No one has ever said there was an echo or couldn't hear me!! I was so angry!!!

So finally we got through all that and he told me my interview was June 16th.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!

I thanked him for being SO pleasant. Lol! And he told me to have a nice day!! Very sarcastically of course!

I hope I never have to call them again!!!

My head is spinning now....just got off skype with my wife.....

so I can barely hear out of either ear now from the screams of excitement

Yea, Arthur has a very "blah" personality. I guess he didn't get the memo about better customer service...

God forbid he say " I'm sorry ma'am, the connection is not good, I can't hear you..."
