A big Congrats to you, you are so lucky. Woooooooow 5 days to get a case number and iin. That was super fast!!!! I just wonder how nvc treats case files that are been sent to them. I thought they treat the case files in order as they come. Seems they just pick the case files at random or what?

There is no rhyme or reason. Mine took 11 days to arrive at the NVC and I received a case number the same day it was received. That's why I think you should call everyday. You never know ! Filing a K3 might make a difference ( but not always) Since the K3 gets shipped out to the embassy immediately, if there is an I-130... they pair them up and then close the K3.

I'm just wondering the same thing... maybe something like this:

MTL1111222333_My_Name_Petitioner_I864.pdf and

MTL1111222333_My_Name_Joint_Sponsor_I864.pdf

That's sort of what I'm leaning toward. It will make it easier to identify the other supporting documents as well, so they can look at one whole set of documents at a time, if they want, but my name is the one that is supposed to be there as "applicant".

Thanks nightingalejules! That's probably the best as it will cover both ways. I just think I'll feel safer e-mailing them in, knowing they got there for sure.

I know for Morocco the police certificate has a 3-month expiry printed on it. It shows the issue date and expiration date (3 months).

NVC requires us to have a non-expired police certificate sent to NVC.

If the certificate will expire before the interview, the applicant has to take a new one to the consulate during the interview.

I'm going to ask him to take a new one just in case, I don't want to wait any longer if we re graced by a Visa. Ty for the information.

AOS I-864 question: I'm including my partner's 2013, 2012, and 2011 tax transcripts.

Do I select both 13 and 14? :huh2:

13. I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.

14. (Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second and third most recent tax years.

Since I'm attaching the 2013 tax transcript, I should select 13, but it states the tax return for only the most recent tax year... Maybe it states like that since it's optional to include 2012 and 2010 tax transcripts? :help:

Thats same question is on the I-864EZ. I checked both. I'm not of much help though, as they haven't reviewed my AOS packet yet.

Maybe one day in the future, on a planet far, far away, my case will be complete and I will telepathically let you know what happened (as by the time my case completes, that's how we'll be communicating).

Is it just me or are hold times for NVC a lot worse lately? It used to be that I'd call and get through in 15 min on average. 20 min was a bad day, 30 min was nearly unheard of. But from what you guys say 30-45 min is pretty standard now. That really stinks.

Hi Saylin. I used to be on the spreadsheet and I filled out the form but I'm not there anymore. Can you add me in? Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're talking about as you're on the spreadsheet.
