Your welcome, I wonder if it's the same for Egypt I also heard it's only valid for 3 months but that the US Embassy has that rule. Wonder how to check this. :( hummmmmm

I know for Morocco the police certificate has a 3-month expiry printed on it. It shows the issue date and expiration date (3 months).

NVC requires us to have a non-expired police certificate sent to NVC.

If the certificate will expire before the interview, the applicant has to take a new one to the consulate during the interview.

Just sent out my AOS packet today. Now will prepare IV packet and wait for ds-260 to be available. Quick question do i need to submite the Police certificate for my wife to the NVC from Santo Domingo. Because i know i have to also bring one to the interview.so that means i need to have my wife get one for the nvc and then another one for the interview??

A big Congrats to you, you are so lucky. Woooooooow 5 days to get a case number and iin. That was super fast!!!! I just wonder how nvc treats case files that are been sent to them. I thought they treat the case files in order as they come. Seems they just pick the case files at random or what?

how long does usually take NVC to respond to an email inquiry? I sent the email Monday 5/5, still no response!!thanks

It took them almost a month to respond to my e-mail. Calling is definitely quicker.

I called this morning and I asked for an update.

They told me they are waiting for my DS260 and IV docs.

Then I asked if the AoS was accepted and the lady said yes.

I called yesterday around 03:30 Pm and they gave me the 30 business days BS and they also said IT WILL take the whole 6 weeks to review because they were backlogged. BS

A backlog? I hope not..! We've been in a backlog for how many months at USCIS..?! Really don't need one at NVC!

It just makes sense that NVC gets backlogged due to the USCIS backlog on the second half of 2013.

BUT, it seems NVC is better structured and deals better with the fload of approved petitions from USCIS.

Anyway, I wish everybody GOOD LUCK with their journey!!!!!!

I know! It's quite worrying when you get through that and you think the next process is going to be exactly the same! Hopefully they're still doing overtime on the weekends, and we can all get through this process quickly. I hope to have a case complete by the end of May, beginning of June.. Need a July interview!!!.

Good luck on getting your case complete, and everyone else!!
