I already took care of the request immediately. I just never heard of anyone getting a reminder ...especially two in such a short period of time.

and they tell me it take 30 days to review things......

whatever... I am just waiting at this point. Not really wasting time, just curious if others received reminders too.

Just remember they make no sense and they never update their computer, this has to be computer generated so they most likely didn't remove you from their checklist. Did you call?

Case complete! Are you serious? The lady was super nice and said my case is complete. I should get an email soon. Turns out they DONT need the original both cert. so I just wasted $100! Oh well, I have to send a corrected I-184a form to my husband to bring to the interview anyway so I guess it's not a big deal. I am shaking with relief!

That is amazing!!! I love these stories of when people are completely surprised by their CC, instead of waiting (im)patiently and calling daily

Anyone else doing electronic filing? I sent my AOS and supporting docs all in one email on Apr 10. Then I just got a reply today satying that NVC has received my inquiry.... please allow up to 20 business days from the day the email was sent for the scanned attachments to be uploaded to the electronic case file and reviewed. Well, I did the math and 20 days is today. Does this email meen that they have already reviewed my AOS and supproting documents.

I submitted my DS-260 and supporting documents on April 14th, so I'm expecting another email regarding this in about 4 business days.

Anyone have any thoughts on what might be going on with my case?

What exactly were you asking? If they were "scanned and accepted"? when I ask if they have my AOS and IV packets they say "there is something here but we don't know what it is"!

Would you mind updating your signature Eastyo, as I'm pretty sure you've paid invoices, sent in packages, and moved on ahead since it was last noted

We left blanks, but not in the most important-appearing boxes, eg mailing address, other Family member name, other persons name/income.

Does the medical come after the interview or before the interview? What if the beneficiary needs two doses of one injection and doses are given 4 weeks apart, what happens if the interview is before the second dose of injection?

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone post that the beneficiary has the interview, then has to await the final shot and medical report before they can obtain their completion on the visa process. I could be mistaken though!

Just a question about ceac site. How long after case complete for the status to change from "At NVC" to "In Transit" ? Will it stay in "At NVC" until the case is actually shipped to the embassy?

I don't think it's on purpose, really people here are so kind. Might be people aren't reading everything they missed while they slept or haven't catched up yet. Also those reading it might not have an answer for you. I for one don't even have my case number yet so I am still clueless about a lot of things. I hope someone comes by who knows how to answer your questions. (F)

I'm sure MANY people agree with you, I sure do. I'm essentially alone other than work colleagues, while reaching out long distance to my husband and family (husband a minimum of once or twice a day ), and this forum has given me a raft under my feet in this tumultuous river called the immigration process...

Hopefully last question....what folder type did you guys use to send IV package? my marriage certificate are "legal" size and long. I have use folders with prongs on them before but just wondering if someone has any pictures or folder types or idea on what to do.

I was thinking a normal folder and have papers separated by paper clip. Like folders with pockets on each side.

I didn't use any folder, but used paper clips to hold any original plus it's copy together, and a little binder clip at the top to hold the bar coded cover sheet/ then cover letter/ then documents together. All of it was placed into the envelope just like that.

Evereytime I called them. they just told me to wait 30 days..

I actually asked if my AOS has been processed and accepted. I had some doubts myself. They told me when it was accepted. When I was ready to ask them about my DS-260 acceptance, they told me actually my case is completed. I actually called only once a week.

I hope you have not mailed your package yet. Do not use a folder. Use one of those black (or whatever color) binder clips to hold everything together. Staple together multiple pages of each document. Print one sided only. Also, make sure, to write your Case # on top right of each page of each document. Or use those yellow sticky notes with your Case # on them.

All your civil docs will go into their own folder. So your putting them into a folder does not help them...so why inconvenience them ....

I broke down, and called the NVC. 45 minutes on hold. But it was worth it.

CASE COMPLETE!!

She said it was complete on the 6th, but the file didn't show a date. So she would get a supervisor to correct it.

Unfortunately I didn't know of VJ and we thought having a lawyer will help us with the process. Our case is not complicated at all!

I'm still in shock that our case is complete! I have a few questions floating around my mind that I wanted to ask though. I am a little hazy on the details of what goes on now. I understand it has to be sent from NVC to the embassy and then the interview and medical is done. But I just want to make sure I stay on top of this.

Do I wait for an email with further instructions? Or do I keep calling NVC for info? If I do call what am I asking for?

Based on when you submitted your last packets, it seems NVC keeps falling behind on their CC timeliness. A month ago they used to be 15 calendar days (w/o checklists). Mine took 19 days by end of April and now it looks like 21+ days. I hope they keep working overtime.

The reason for this is that I arrived at NVC so they thought hummmmm she's here might as well take more breaks she's waited this long what's a little longer. :protest: :protest: :protest: :protest: :protest: :protest:

Then I asked if the AoS was accepted and the lady said yes.

I called yesterday around 03:30 Pm and they gave me the 30 business days BS and they also said IT WILL take the whole 6 weeks to review because they were backlogged. BS

And just an update on my part, just got through to NVC after 40 minutes on hold, and still no review/acceptance of my IV package...

They either paid a ton of money to a lawyer to "figure it out" for them. OR like most people claim "back in my day it was a piece of cake to immigrate". You just got married and blah blah blah. The US didn't have crazy tight security measures like they do now...
