Hopefully last question....what folder type did you guys use to send IV package? my marriage certificate are "legal" size and long. I have use folders with prongs on them before but just wondering if someone has any pictures or folder types or idea on what to do.

I was thinking a normal folder and have papers separated by paper clip. Like folders with pockets on each side.

I just received a checklist written in Greek and all I can make out of it is the number 260 written in the context of the checklist. I've seen people here with same type of message written in Greeks, what was your findings when you called NVC?[/quote

You can use Google Translate. We also got Checklist in Greek. The agent told us to ignore but send reply to the original checklist.

I already mailed the checklist I got on AOS maybe this one has to do with my DS260, I couldnt translate the message because am presently using a smartphone. My spouse is trying to speak with an agent though so hopefully we will known whats up. Thanks though.

I'm going to be totally sappy right now. But I feel like I have to say this, and I hope there are a bunch of others who happen to agree with me! :goofy:

I honestly don't know where my husband and I would be without the support of this forum. These have been some of the most difficult times of our lives (one year and 2 days since NOA1 now) and before this, I felt so incredibly lost and alone. No one outside of the immigration process understands what we go through every day with the phone calls, the paperwork and the endless stress and sadness. I'm so thankful to have such a strong support group of complete strangers to help make it day to day. I refer to all of you by your VJ handles when I talk to my husband. It's like we know you. And all I want is for everyone to make it to the next step to be with their loved ones. You're like family now.

My best vibes are sent out to everyone still waiting for a CC, down to those who just got NOA1 with USCIS. So thankful I can say that to the only people in the world who know what all those letters and numbers mean!!!!!

sending important messages in Greek, just shows how messed up the system is- if our IT department here at my work- a university, allowed that-there would be major embarrassment and people fired!

Congrats on all the case completes today! Fabulous!

I still can't sign in, but at least was able to give super-nice guy Rick our email addresses. I've also decided to opt in for Electronic Processing. Even though it's supposed to be slower, I just don't like the idea of sending all my originals to NVC. They can look at the originals at the interview! (Whenever that may be........)

I love to hear of people successfully getting through this process without using a lawyer. I am so glad my spouse and I did not waste $4000 for a lawyer's "services". It's even better that you had no checklists! :)

I've heard people paying $2,000 to hire a lawyer, but a good immigration lawyer may charge up to $4,000. :idea:

You probably don't need a lawyer if your case is straight-forward. ^_^

You may want to use a legal service if your case is complicated. :unsure:

We paid $5000 but he is writing our waiver.. If we didn't need the waiver, we wouldn't have hired an attorney

Yes, $4,000 is what one of the lawyers from Los Angeles quoted us. We contacted a different lawyer from El Paso, Texas and their rate was even more!

I am SO glad we didn't choose to go with a lawyer!

sending important messages in Greek, just shows how messed up the system is- if our IT department here at my work- a university, allowed that-there would be major embarrassment and people fired!

This is widely unreasonable.
