hey guys i needed some help my i 130 was approved on 10 march 2014 and its been almost 2 months and i havent recieved anything from nvc

so i emailed them few weeks ago and i finally got a reply saying that i should fill ds-261 form online but the thing is i dont have my nvc case number yet which is needed to fill the form, I tried calling them a few times but no one ever picks up please let me know what i should be doing now

You should try and call them

Again and ask for your case number and identification invoice number (IIN). You'll be needing these two to sign in to ceac.state.gov

Well, ya know, some border officers are pricks. I got one myself when I first started the process who denied me entry into the US. That was my second denial and last attempt as he told me that if I went to another border and tried with "another story" (???), I could get banned for life. I swear, some of them just like the power they have to control people's lives

At least the Canadian officers are nice Or maybe it's just cause I'm Canadian

No your right they are pricks at least most of them, they are on a power trip and they use it when ever they can. How rude to not let you in I would have just cried if they had done that to me. The Embassy counselors aren't any better but actually worse. Wonder if that is just in Arab countries?

Once, when crossing the Canada-U.S border I heard the officer tell the young lady ahead of me "Are you a go-getter? Cause if you're not a go-getter I can throw you right back to where you came from."

New Delhi, India Embassy website says that : "The immigrant visa appointment schedule is posted for the current month by approximately the 15th of the previous month. "

Right now only available schedule of interviews on website is for May, 2014.

Thus i assume, that they may be scheduling interviews till 14th .... i got a cc on 2nd, its 8th today, fingers crossed, still have 5 working days to get an interview date before they are done with June.

Keeping my fingers cross and a prayer that you will get your interview in time. (F)

Guys we were case complete as of April 29th.

Are we pushed to a July interview ?

Is the NVC not going to schedule any mid-month on May 15th --- for June ?

Please advise.

I got my police cirtificate february 2014 and it has 3 month of validity now its expire so should I get new one nvc said if it pass 1 year than i have to get one so its not one year so what should I do please guys help me please???

Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

He or she is more than 16 years old;

He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and

He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate.

Yup, that's what I mean! For whatever reason, lack of sleep probably, we thought that petitioner's info continues there. Anyways, if I understood corrrectly, the only info on that page about the petioner is Part 1. Name and checking 1a. The rest is about the beneficiary, right?

And even then you still have to smile to the ba****d and beg him/her to LET you pay for the return tickets so you don't incur a 3-5 years ban from entry. As if reapplying to the USCIS from scratch wouldn't take that long anyway.

Call NVC and you will get your case number and invoice number through them. If you get a busy signal, keep redialing until you get through. Good luck!
