Has there been a drastic slow-down at the TSC for K1visas or is it just me?

I agree that TSC has slowed down drastically. CSC was always ahead. VSC was behind TSC but has caught up. We got our NOA1 on February 26th 2014 from TSC. We're still waiting for our NOA2 and it's now June 6th 2014. My fiance called to ask for a RFE and the explanation given for the delay is that the background check is still pending. I think this may have something to do with me having gone to grad school in New York and CA and so this could be taking a while, I think...

Sure hope that we get transfered to either CSC or VSC. This is taking so much longer than expected / hoped.

VSC no longer deals with I-129f petitions. All the pending ones from there have been transferred to TSC and are handling their load as well.

Being from Hawaii, I am curious why yours went to TSC. Did you file while in New York at school? Hawaii goes to CSC.

Aloha! My fiance filed from Seoul, South Korea (military). He just got re-assigned to Hawaii. I'm currently in Singapore. Back in February, we were told to submit our application to TSC. If it wasn't for this Visa Journey forum (thank goodness!), we would have never learnt about the existence of TSC, VSC and CSC. But now, I'm curious too why we got sent to TSC and not CSC.

So your file number begins with SRC? If so, you guys got the short end of the stick I'm afraid :( . Maybe they went by his home of record?

Since he is stationed in Hawaii, there is a chance you will be one of the actual rare transfers to CSC...fingers crossed :)

The SRC identifies the center (TSC) that is processing the petition. (WAC = CSC)

If he has a residential address in Hawaii, and he will be living there for a while (6 months - 1 year), I would definitely let them (TSC) know about the address change. If he uses an FPO or APO as a mailing address, I am not sure that will qualify as a permanent residence that may get you transferrd to CSC.

It wouldn't hurt to call and ask of course :)

What does SRC represent?

The receipt numbers start with the acronym used for the service center your petition is being processed at.

The Texas Service Center uses SRC because it was formally the Southern Regional Center.

The California Service Center uses WAC because it was formally the Western Adjudication Center

The Vermont Service Center uses EAC because it was formally the Eastern Adjudication Center.

my case is moving pretty good we filed at TSC and now im on all set for my May 20 interview.

Your's is fast knowing you filed at TSC! Hopefully ours too.

June 12,2014 -I-129F sent to Lewisville Texas

June 13, 2014 = Package accepted

June 15,2014 = NoA1 (email & text)

June 16, 2014 = Alien Registration Number changed

June 17, 2014 = Hardcopy NOA1 received

Aug. 5, 2014 = NOA2 approved

I think they are having to spend more time on "Undocumented Workers" (to be PC). Could be wrong.

Just wanted to let you all know that we just got our NOA2 today. Phew! Thank goodness. So it took 162 days to get from NOA1 to NOA2 out of TSC. I hope you all will have good news very soon too, if not already. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone.
