Are you able to track your calls? because that's one of the reason use boss revolution, because I can print every month our call history to reflect how many times we talk to each other a day... And also can I call his cell phone? because he does not have a home phone just cell... Thank you for the Info!

yes you can call any number the same it just uses the minutes bought. it does show the number, time and date of the call. When I paid 11 cents a minute it tracked the call duration but now does not seem to.

However after reading the post from Jalvarez:

and if you want to save some money on calling cards check out dominican movil.. I've been using it for the past year and it saves you lots of money... :)

I went to dominicanmovil.com and it seems AWESOME!!! but I don't know if it has tracking...

https://www.dominicanmovil.com/Activacion.aspx

I think I am going to send him the "telefonito" !! 20 bucks a month unlimited!! That's amazing!! Good Lord the money I could have saved!!! I could have paid off everything and the wedding !! jajajaja

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

OP speaking to U as a sis. meeting someone on line I guess is OK in this day and age

but I would say take time to know a person. U also have 2 kids in the home, just look

B4 U leap...how does a person make such great lifetime decisions so quickly upon one

meeting?...Yes it has worked out great for a few ppl, but as someone suggested read prior

threads on the matter, I would run upon a person proposing to me after meeting me the first

time...LOVE.. what is love? its knowing a person more. With all the nice females in DR he

did not have one B4 he wanted to marry (think about it=he's the marrying kind) Does he

have kids, a current relationship on pause ? tell him U are going to move there to live with

him and test his answers....Best wishes to you and the kids...thread carefully

Thank you so much for you concerned, and again Im not asking for relationship advice, I was askign for a time frame for immigration, not for my relation. Yes, he was married before, no kids, marriage ended over 2 years ago... Met most of his family there and here, no, no concerns of him having a relationship on hold or on the side. I feel at peace, at least as of today. I am happy, I want him with me, I'm a very responsable professional single monther, who provides for her kids and their well being. If Im making this decision is because it feels right. When I met my daughters father he was my bofriend since high school were are now?? So time does not determines how deep or real a relationship is. And no, I dont find it weird that he proposed the first time we met, because by then we had been talking for 4 months already, yes in fact there are nice famales over there so there are nice looking men here but I dint find any that fit my needs... He offered me to move there, he comes from a well financially stable familly thats owens muiltiple busnisses, and is the accountant... I can't move there right now because of my kids and their father... I dont need to test him, time is the best test ... Thank you again!

When u do auto recharge through Boss revolution, its like a cell ph bill, it gives u the number you call, the minutes u talked for etc, and it also give the amount of money you spend that monthe... I will give it a try for him to call me from DR, but I think I will keep the Boss for me here since it provides me with the same registry and history a cell bill would.

He could only do one minute calls at a time and I think it's like 50 calls so it's really not worth it if your going to just use it for that. I used another website just like boss but it was just too expensive and a limited of time, I love that I could go whenever I want and he could speak with our son etc. It does have the calls that have been made to that cell phone number. But whatever works for your :)

Thank you for typing this. This was pretty much exactly what I was gonna respond to that. Time doesn't determine anything. Amazing how the topic of this thread morphed into something else LOL. I think relationships that start online can be just as real as any other relationship. I hate how some people say they're not organic because they didn't start in person. Just goes to show that some people really are stuck in a cave & not using the internet to it's fullest potential. I think LDRs have many benefits. One is that you're forced to talk because you're not in person, so your emotions aren't clouded with the mixed emotions that come from sex. That is how some people who meet online are able to move through those stages of the relationship so fast. That's why I decided to propose to my Fiancee before she even got on the plane to get here. Even before she landed, I already had the ring. That didn't scare her away & it shouldn't have, unless she's the wrong person for me. We both knew what we were getting into & we love every moment of it.

International relationships.......and immigration to the US.....is definitely not for everyone.

I agree and our experience agrees, since we couldn't jump into the back seat and steam up the windows, all we could do long distance was talk. And talk we did. We both felt we knew all about each other and our likes and dislikes and our possible compatibilities or not.

All that being said, we two both took tremendous leaps of faith and trust that we would show up when we agreed to meet and then she would get onto the plane and that I would be the same person once they arrived. We were adult about everything and gave each an "out card" to play at any time.

We had agreed during the visa process that either could just call it all off and we'd just walk away. She also knew that she had the final say once she got here to proceed with the marriage.

For anyone to pass any kind of judgement regarding the number of times one needs to meet or how long you need to be engaged prior, etc etc, just doesn't understand someone else's situation could be different than theirs. Don't let them affect you.

As far as the time table of a relationship goes, every couple has their own rhythm as to how fast or slow to progress.

That is not the point though. The point is what will the interviewing CO think ? If he has a personal bias against it then you can

be pretty sure he will use his discretionary powers to make it very difficult for you and that is what we all want to avoid, it doesn't

matter how we feel about it or how we think it should be. "It is what it is" (inside joke but that is another thread).

How much relationship evidence to send or if to front load or not is entirely embassy specific and 'red flag' related.
It is not a one size fits all or a 1 page or 3 pages set in stone issue. Every couple is different and it does not matter if it

is 1 or 3 page letter. The quality and natural flow of the entire relationship matters and how you get that across to the CO along with

a quality packed petition. It's like Goldilocks and the 3 bears...not enough is bad, too much is bad and there is a "just right" that each couple has to determine through research. (Check VJ embassy reviews of your specific embassy.)

Forget the USCIS phase, it is nothing compared to what awaits you at the interview in a high fraud country and make the petition

with the embassy phase in mind.

The discretionary powers that be go by a referral sheet with several fraud indicators and short, fast paced relationships are one of them.

Just keeping it real. Overcome it with a quality petition and evidence and address it up front and most of the time you will be just fine.

For those who were denied, repeat. Easy peasy countries no worries, high fraud countries watch out.

I am defenitely front loading all my evidence... I want them to have as much as they can possibly have before our interview... I think in my case and because of my country the more the merrier... even thou I see other ppl that are also from the Dominican that didnt have any issues and they didnt submmit as much evidence.

Marco,

I completely agree with you regarding relationships starting online. I talk about my fiancé quite often to friends and family, and as always the question about how we met comes up. I have no issues telling them I me her via an online dating site. They can think what they want, but I don't really care, if I hadn't decided to look, I would have never found her. And yes, with the LDR, it was quite an experience (and for me still is until September), we had to communicate and it allowed us to learn so much more about our everyday lives. We even created a sort of interesting language between each other where we can now tell what the other is thinking just through facial expressions.

Iliana,

Best of luck to you, it seems you are covering all the bases, and I wish you and your fiancé all the best. I am glad you started this thread as it has added a lot to the discussion regarding online meeting. I for one who chose to take the immigration route with my fiancé are appreciative of this forum and the experiences of others like myself.
