Lines start forming early. They will take you by your appointment time so no need to be there any earlier than 6 - 6:30 am. You will enter the New Annex, which by the way is beautiful. Remember no cell phones, cameras, thumb drives or any other electronics. Also, food is not allowed to be taken into the Embassy. They have a food canteen inside that you can purchase snakes and drinks from.

Remember to be confident, answer truthfully and SMILE.

Good luck

Only need to be there about a hour before your interview time.

Before the embassy opens everyone starts lining up over by the pedestrian bridge, once the embassy opens they move everyone over by the guard shack and the canopies... it will be very obvious where to line up.

They will get to you as long as you are there by the appointed time, but the sooner you get there the sooner you get oiut. So it is really up to you how much sleep you are willing to lose in the interest of getting out sooner. But unlike the CFO, you will not get bumped if you don't get a good place in line.

If a person with a 7:30 appointment arrived at the 6:30 appointment time they will not be processed sooner, the embassy will complete the 6:30 appointments first.

Hank, are they still giving out 6:30? Everyone I read about here for this year was given 7:30. This is important to know to give Candy good advice as to what time to get there. She has 7:30. and it looks to me like she should be getting there about 6 AM. What do you think?

Also what do you think about arrival time at St. Luke's? I really don't want her out there too long because she will be carrying cash for the exam fee, even though she will have a male relative with her for protection.

Depends on what she gets. When you schedule the interview appointment you choose a date and time, so it will be whatever you click on.

I have never read of anyone having issues with thugs robbing people at St. Luke's .... paranoia can be a dangerous thing.. ;)

I have read of people showing up hours early and others not arriving until 8AM and the all got done with their medical just fine.

I also had my brother with me while waiting for SLEC to open, and I arrived there 2:30am. I planned to have it done in one day because I can't take off from work too long. Even though, we live within Metro Manila, the commute at that ungodly hour is still full of uncertainty (even just waiting for a taxi), so I opted to be not alone. I was the 2nd in line. At 3-4am people will be crowding the place, so it will be safer in the area then. The guard was inside the SLEC building the whole time, until they open the doors at about 5:30am.

There was a recent SLEC review in which she was #32 and that she arrived at 5am, she was done with all the tests by 12nn, but had to go back the next day for immunizations. In my case, I was done with all my tests at 9am, and had to return at 1pm for immunizations & results. I was back home at 4pm. In conclusion, the earlier the applicant is, the shorter the lines are for the tests.
