My soon to be wife who is a recent graduate from collage like me, only earned $15000 after adjusted gross income. But her total income was around $24000. For her to be my sponsor she needed to earn around $20000 after the adjusted gross income. Does that mean she can't sponsor me, is there a work around ?

If i have a friend who makes around $40000 and has 2 children and a wife, is it possible for him to sponsor me ?
