Hey Guys,

Its been a while since I last updated my status here in VJ. Anyway, I arrived here in the US last June 2013 on a K1 Visa, Got married August 2013 and then we're just about to file our AOS for my green card. I know right it took us a looonnngggg time to file.

So the question is, for the affidavit of support do we need all docs like W2, receipts from paying fed taxes and certificate of employment or can it be either one.

I look forward to your responses. Thank you in advance. Good luck to all and God bless.

Sincerely,

Timzel

XOXO- Timzel

You need what the I-864 instructions ask for. A complete copy of the most recent tax return(which is all forms, schedules, attachments, W-2s and/or 1099s) OR an IRS tax return transcript, letter from employer and/or most recent pay stubs.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic AOS, not K-1 ~

Yes everything....even though the free IRS tax transcripts preclude of a lot of what you listed.

I look forward to your responses. Thank you in advance. Good luck to all and God bless.

Agreed to Jay-kay. Also, check if your medical was done within 1 year prior to filing your AOS. If it has been more than a year since, you would need to have a new full medical exam with a civil surgeon, and submit a completed I-693. Good luck!
