All of the centers say processing time is 5 months but I got my NOA2 in 4 1/2 weeks. You really don't know when and its just a waiting game..

Yes dear but you're from the Philippines.... they are expediting petitions from your country. The rest of us have to wait the 5+ months.

Yeah. It's been like 6 months, it's about time they put that cow to pasture as it should have stopped being milked about half that amount of time ago.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

Im the petitioner and im in the usa and no they are not expediting. Look at the timelines and they are people who filed before me and still waiting for a NOA2. They are flying thru NOA2 in CSC. I was in the TSC. I called them myself and they told me 5 months when I called the us embassy but then all of a sudden a few days later I checked online and it was approved. You never know when your going to be approved and the 5 months is just a guideline.

You just had a K1 petition approved in 36 days. You don't have a leg to stand on to refute the ongoing and unfair expedition of petitions from the PI.

Im not refuting anything. Im just correcting the other post saying im from Phil and they are expediting. Im just like everyone else who filed and read up on VJ and called and they told me 5 months. No reason for you to come off this way when im telling my story which you have no right to tell me I cant tell my experience. Im not saying whether its fair or not im just saying others have told me 5 months including the embassy and the processing times and I have seen others that are filing for their fiancé in the phil that was before me and they still don't have NOA2. So don't tell me what leg I have to stand on when I have research just like you have im sure. I did nothing different at all from anyone who has filed so voice your anger somewhere else.

One post, edited to remove a response to thread-derailment, has its acceptable portion returned here:

[...] I dont think the rest of us waiting on NOA2 have anything against the Philippines about the terrible disaster they went thru, however, lets be honest, their cases have been getting approved faster, and I think we should continue to focus on the 5 month mark instead of waiting to be approved as fast as they did. I think it is also important that others know they shouldnt be getting their hopes up getting at timelines from the Philippines because that will not happen for most of us.

And also, just as a side note, not all of them got approved fast, there are some january filers from the Philippines still waiting NOA2 as well.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Nine posts have been removed from this thread for derailment, baiting, and bickering. Two members have been thread-banned, with further administrative action pending. Comparative processing-times can be discussed in general in the "USCIS Service Centers" forum, if hostility is not expressed out of proportion to natural frustration.

Folks, waiting on petition approval is an exceptionally stress-laden part of the process. Tension and frustration well up and can spill over. It's understandable to express this from our own standpoints; however, it's inappropriate posting behavior to lash out at others. Please avoid damaging threads with anything too much beyond a simple response to the OP. Thanks for your renewed awareness of this.

But they have been expediting petitions and applications for those from the Philippines > http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-reminds-filipino-nationals-impacted-typhoon-haiyan-available-immigration-relief-measures

You were approved quickly at the TSC, which is the service center I keep seeing people complain about being so slow currently. No one should have anger towards you for it, but you need to know that they are indeed expediting cases for the PI.

Most of our members are not angry at a couple who gets approved on a fast track as they are able to separate the couple from the US government. To be clear, the entire fast tracking idea was drummed up by misguided do-gooders within the US State Department to keep some of their constituents happy at the expense of everyone else.

it is exactly 90 days today that i received my NOA1, 10 days past the estimated rime frame that VJ said I should likely get my NOA2, and VJ says that TSC is currently processing K-1 with and NOA date of 2/10/13; my NOA1 is 1/31/14.

Do i call and look for an update? what specifically should i ask? or do i not rock the boat and wait another month???

any advice would be awesome.

I was at CSC and the estimates were still way off for me--most CSC people from my filing country (UK) got approved at least 15-30 days before me, for no apparent reasons. The estimates just got depressing! But I think it's a good emotional practice to get happy when you see movement on the lists--regardless of the changes in estimate--because it means more batches are getting done in your filing month! :) I hope Texas speeds up for everyone really soon!

2/3/14 I-129F Mailed

6/16/14 Embassy Interview--Approved!!!!

7/11/14 Marriage :)

7/25/14 AOS + Work Authorization Mailed to Chicago Lockbox

7/31/14 NOA1--Electronic Notification

8/26/14 Biometrics Appointment--Indianapolis

9/18/14 EAD approved--Electronic Notification

2/15/15 Notice of Interview Waiver (and Case Delay due to heavy processing load)

5/5/15 RFE (Requested another certified copy of marriage license)

5/14/15 Submitted Materials for RFE

5/28/15 Greencard Approved/In Production!!!!!
