My K1 was approved last week, got a text Monday say my case has been sent to the department of state. How long do I have to wait before NVC lets me know anything or when should I start calling? My fiancee is in Manila already waiting for more info and by some timelines I have seen some got NVC recieved after 10 days.

Wait for at least 2 weeks, which is 10 business days, for NVC to process and be able to give you the case number (or MNL#). This is the earliest, as I know, that some have gotten their MNL#. It could take longer.

Will they send me case number by mail or email or text or all of the ones mention? Once I get the case number can we start calling for all her appointments or do I wait til the embassy sends her packet to her?

Thank you sweet cakes for the link :-)

Thank you sweet cakes for the link :-)

You will receive a letter from NVC with the MNL#, but this is after they have processed your case files and that your files will be forwarded to US embassy Manila.

Aside from calling, you may also email NVC for the MNL#. Details below.

Filed: AOS (pnd) Country: Philippines
Timeline

Took about 2 weeks for NVC to acknowledge they had the file and about 2 more weeks to acknowledge they sent it on to Manila (and gave us MNL # at that time).

You need to pay the interview fee at a Bank of the Philippine Islands branch in Philippines before you sign up for interview, as they will ask the receipt # from the bank when you do.
