  1. 1. If China decides to 'take' property that belongs to others, should the US respond?

    • Yes. China needs to be shown, in no uncertain terms, that America is still boss.
    • No. Let China have East and Southeast Asia. It is their manifest destiny.
    • Only if the property being taken is important. Strategically, or if it has oil.

We're not allowed to talk bad about China, not allowed to talk bad about Texas...

I see a pattern here.

I wasn't around to see why the first thread got locked. All I knew is it got locked because of VJers doing what VJers do and then the Senkaku topic was declared forbidden by the powers that be.

I was in that thread and it was my discussion with someone else (can't remember now who) that closed it. The other person started using racial slurs towards the Japanese.

I am pretty sure VJ moderation will figure out what that acronym stands for, so please do not use it.

Well, sh!t, I thought I just couldn't talk about the islands. I can't even talk about the ocean surrounding the islands? Ok, Western Pacific Ocean or WPO

They are kind of like, the replies we use to get from the EPA. I swear. They told us, we can't say the label is in compliance or not. Publish it and put it out there and then we will determine.

Use a letter response for over a year, then one day get banned for it out of the blue.

They have been fairly quite here lately.

No.

I started a thread some time back on Obama's statement that he considered the Senkaku islands covered under the US-Japan security treaty. Other posters turned that thread into a flame war and it got locked.

I then started another thread on how a US official said that if the President asked the military to vacate the Senkaku islands of a Chinese occupation force, they could.

Ryan killed the second thread and suspended me for 48 hours because "this thread you started deals with the same issue in [the] thread that was closed for TOS violations."

Those two threads dealt with the same issue, so they killed it.

And what is that issue?

The Senkaku islands.

There seems to be a common denominator in many of the Bizarre mod actions?

So you have experience dealing with arbitrary authority figures....

Heck I was one for many years. Know them when I see them
