So I have just a general question. For us April filers, with the recent change on the USCIS website that now states they are processing petitions from December 17, 2013, does this change the amount of time that has to pass before we can submit a service request? The last time I had looked they were quoting 5.5 months but this has recently changed. Just wanted to know what everyone else thought and knew about this. Thanks!

As far as service requests go, it seems you can't put one in until the date they show is at or after the date you sent it out. It's their way of saying F you, we are behind , deal with it. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/506542-possible-ways-to-overcome-the-delay-at-tsc/page-9 a bunch of us are going to contact higher ups to try to figure this out. Feel free to help:)

I am the petitioner.

Not here...my guess is October...being hopeful. I'd prefer 5 months in September. Oh well, hours got cut at my work this month, so it'll give me more time to save money since my paychecks are unfortunately smaller...for a few weeks anyway.

There have been approvals for TSC the last few days not April though, so there is a little glimmer of hope. And sorry to hear your hours got cut chin up it will get better for all of us soon

I need to believe that first part about a little glimmer of hope really badly. I just got a text message from my other half this morning and it was emotionally heart wrenching. Something has to change soon. Here's to hoping things are join to pick up at TSC soon. At this point I would be overjoyed with October!

I understand (though I don't know what the text entailed) but I have days where it would just be easier to give up (I won't! Oh god no...he means too much to me) but being apart is so difficult. Work has been stressful lately, & while he listens intently to my gripes (offers advice & doesn't get mad if I don't take his advice) I could stand to be held. Going months on end without a single touch isn't easy. However, I know that he loves me more than I could possibly understand & he lets me know as best as he can. Even with an ocean separating us, I've never felt so loved...so that gets me through the tough days. I'm flying back over there for the last time this year next Friday. I'll be in his arms next Saturday morning. I'm looking forward to it... Just not saying goodbye.

I'm wondering if I'm alone in this...but I can only visit for 9-10 days at a time (paid vacation days & limited budget) but we don't do much of anything but stay in & hold each other, talk & watch movies. Coworkers think it odd that I've been to England 3 times & while I've met family members, we don't go look at things. I'm perfectly content staying in his flat unless we need groceries or go get food. We figure we will come back after we are married & then he can show me castles & stuff. I'm there to see HIM not the country...

We're the same way! Whether he comes here to NY or I go up there to Toronto, we never really go anywhere, maybe to the movies and places to eat but that's it. My mom thinks it's "such a shame" that I don't take him to see the sights and vice versa, yes we purposely do that! He IS the main attraction to see when I visit him, and I am his when he comes here. There will be plenty of time for sight seeing when we're together for good...

It's so good to know that I'm not alone and that others here are going through the exact thing I am. Even when it comes to heart wrenching moments. I'm going up to Vancouver to visit this Friday. When it is time for my visit to end it is going to hurt, but with any luck all of us will be celebrating approvals sooner rather than later. I'm stressing about getting into Canada when I know I shouldn't worry too much. I keep going back and forth on what I'm going to say to customs. I have never lied and have no plans too, it's just going to be my first visit where I am coming to the country to visit my fiancé as opposed to just a friend. I'm taking proof of ties to home country and of course our NOA1. Anyways, it's good to know that we aren't alone and that all of us are going through very similar things. Helps me maintain my sanity a bit more. Here's to all of us getting approvals soon!

Wow. A real transfer. I think it would really only go to one other place and that is CSC unless they have decided to start processing at other centers to help relieve TSC.
