Silly Barcode Question

Hey Guys,

Here's a silly question about the barcode on the DS-3032...it is kind of a stupid question, but I am home today with an 8 year old who's not feeling good-and well, I haven't been able to do much besides think too much...

Is the barcode they send a sticky thing that affixes to the form? Do they send more than one with the packages to each party (sponsor & beneficiary) ?

I ask b/c I'd like my husband to fill out the form now, scan it and e-mail it. That way, I can simply affix it and send it off with my I-864 bill which I will be receiving before he gets his package in the UK. I have spoken with him about sending in his Choice of Agent via e-mail, and he seems to be put off by that a bit.

As I said, I have too much time on my hands today and I am thinking of ways to get this ball rolling a little faster...

Thanks !

Surely you have heard about James' shortcuts for NVC? Have a read at this link

http://www.visajourney.com/forums2/index.p...=36503&hl=james

James showed us how to generate the NVC bar codes and even included cover pages for NVC.

If you want to download any of his documents, change the link from "forums" to "forums2"

Here is a sample email someone send to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Make sure to put case # in the subject line.

I agree, and thought the e-mail was a fine idea-actually the best option...but my husband seems a little paranoid about it for some odd reason.

I will use my persuasive voice on him later when we speak... ;)

Thank You to Everyone who answered !

Jenny-I am sending some good energy your way. You're not cursed with bad luck at all.

Things will go your way. As discouraging as it can be when things aren't going as you wish just now, never ever lose hope.

The barcode is pre-printed. I photocopy the original and then cut the bard code from the photocopy and pasted on the pre-printed DS-3032.

In addition to that I sent them email saying -- my parents would like to appoint me as their Agent of choice.

Hey, sending an email wouldn't hurt even though you are going to send original DS-3032. At the most what can happen -- they can accept Agent of choice because of your email -- if you are lucky.

I asked one of the operator specifically -- Is it ok to email regarding agent of choice -- and he said yes.

I'd suggest you just give a shot, that save you some time --- it wouldn't hurt at all
