CSC Filers: How long to NVC

Hi all!

Again, I know I've been posting a lot! But it's so darn frustrating not to have any sort of timeframe for this next step in the process.

We JUST got our NOA2; and it was sent to NVC on the 24th of April. I know it is SUPER early to be calling them; but I wanted to see what the process was like, so I called them this evening.

The nice man on the phone told me it takes five to eight weeks for them to receive a case from "Immigration." Does that mean from the NOA1 to it's receipt at the NVC or five to eight weeks for them to process the case?

How long has it been taking cases sent from CSC to reach NVC? Thanks for putting up with all my questions everyone. Hope I can return the favor someday!

I waited 10 days before calling and was able to get the case # 13 days after NOA2. I would start calling around May 4th

NOA2 was April 8th, they had it April 18th. They shipped it out April 23rd. it's currently swimming to Ireland. Hopefully it'll be there by summer.

I just called the NVC today, my NOA2 has a date of April 16th and they have yet to receive my case.

They haven't received mine either. Did they tell you 4-6 weeks? I really don't believe that, though because some of the people on VJ have had their cases received much faster.

The guy on the phone told me up to 8 weeks I about had a meltdown when I heard that… :/

Me too. I wanted to cry. But I've seen people on here processed WAY sooner than that! Let's keep hoping, k?

I received the NOA2 notification by email/text and I think I started calling right at a week. NVC received our case on April 8th.

Thanks jennrg83 and everyone who replied. It really helps to have timelines to look at to stave off the waiting anxiety.

Goodness, I want to call them everyday. But I know it's been too soon. It's only been seven days since our NOA2 and only THREE business days, but it feels like forever. The closer we get, the harder it is. Didn't you say something like that jennrg83, a while back?

Yeah, the anxiety just continues to build. I know it's horribly ocd, but I did call nvc every day, morning and evening. I wanted to know when they received it, when the case number was assigned, and when they sent it to the embassy. Our case is now in Haiti, and getting much closer...but now it isn't so easy to check on things.

The hoping worked! The NVC received my case yesterday I found out today, it took about 2 weeks.

Now I really feel we are on our way!

Congrats Jamie and Marco!!!! This is wonderful!! Keep us posted on your next steps. And sending prayers and support to you both. I'm on hold with the NVC now just to see if they've received our case. I know it's a long shot, but acting is easier than waiting.

CSC > NVC took 15 days, or at least 15 days from NOA2. London had our file in hand 7 days later. I completed readiness within a day and have the medical next week. Just waiting for interview. Assuming no hiccups from there, that puts us on time for a solid 5 months start to finish.
