Package to beneficiary after NOA2

Hi everyone!

Is it really necessary to actually send something by mail to the beneficiary? Couldn't we just send copies of all the docs (including I-134 and employer verification and bank letter) and print them out there before going to the consulate?

If not, what postal service do you use? Even FedEx seems to be over $100 to send few pages to places like Ukraine, otherwise there's USPS with virtually no guarantee on delivery...

They need an original signature on the 134 form and on the updated Letter of Intent.

Use Fed Ex for assured delivery.....the cost is negligible considering all the future costs you will need to incur to move them here and assimilate them into life in the US. I'm sure you considered all that before filing.

Are you sure about the original signature? I had read somewhere they only need copies of the docs and those can be emailed to the beneficiary. What, they might deny the visa because the docs brought in to the interview are no all originals?

Dang, thanks for the reminder for the updated letter of intent. Better get that in the mail! They could just put you in AP after approving your K1, but that's a long process. Better to be safe than sorry, I'd think?

Yes it must be an original signature, otherwise they will end up requesting your original document and could hold up the process.

Not to beat the dead horse and not for the sake of argument, but where is it written they need to have the original signatures? To the contrary I've seen that these two docs can be sent to the fiance by email and then taken by him/her to the consulate... (can't find where but it was on the Embassy's site).

Unless specifically required that an original document be filed with an application or petition, a legible photocopy may be submitted. Original documents submitted when not required may remain a part of the record."

The I-134 is an original document. If you don't want to waste time and money by mailing this to your fiance', then don't. Plenty of people have told you that you should do that, or risk AP after the interview. It's clearly your choice. I look forward to knowing what their decision is after you email and she prints it instead of it being an original document.

I know it's a pain to send things and it can take a while, but personally I would rather be safe than sorry on everything. For original documents, I am signing them and mailing them to my fiancé. I would rather him have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
