Hi guys, Im traveling to the Philippines on June 6th and my philippine passport expires in november, my permanet resident card is valid for a few more yers still. Will i be able to travel with this passport, because the travel agent told me i need to renew it before I go. Is there enough time to get a new one and or can i go on the one i have. renew it there. Please help guys.

Yeah, you still have time to renew your passport, just request for the express/expedite processing.

The airlines may not let you board your flight if your passport will expire in less than six months from your travel date.

It took my wife six weeks to receive her new passport.

I have heard from some others that you should not have a problem with your current Phil. passport. If you have time while in the Phil. you might want to renew it there it takes much less time to do so. As long as your trip gets you there and back to the US before your passport expires there shouldn't be any problem.

International flights require passport to be valid for 6 months or more. You will have to renew your passport at the PH embassy. You can probably try to request for expedite (if possible) since most passport processing times I read is 6 months or more. Good luck! :)
