Hey Everyone,

My case completed last April 22, 2014. I decided to have my medical examination even if I haven't received the visa interview appointment letter. But will the SLEC allow me? If so, what documents will I bring? And how long will the medical report expires?

Please answer.Thanks. Will really appreciate your answer.

Yes you can take the medical exam now. That's what I did before. Just show them your case complete email from NVC.

The medical result is valid for 6 MONTHS and the visa expiry is tied up with that as well.

Thanks. But read on some forums that all I have to bring is NOA2 in replacement of the packet 4 and I should know what my case number in order for them to allow me to take the medical examination. Is it true? Does the SLEC allow you by just showing the case complete email? I'm confuse now if NOA2 or the Case Complete Email.

The case complete email or any other email sent by NVC is acceptable, as long as it shows your name and MNL case number.

The NOA2 requirement is for K1 applicants since their petitions don't get processed at NVC the way immigrant visa petitions are processed. Besides, the NOA2 is issued by USCIS, not NVC.
