We receive the letter to our service request today. The weird part is that the letter head is addressed from the local office (instead of Vermont Service Center something I suppose.)

Does that mean our case get transferred to the local office??? The online status doesn't show nothing.

Also, we never receive any RFE for that matter.

My approval letter was from the local office too and I never got any updates stating so, in fact the letter had a sticker over the approval from Vermont (the sticker had the signature from the Atlanta office)

Oh okay. I just checked the envelope, and it was indeed mailed from the local office. Not sure if things will now be sped up or what not since my area is known for backlog and high workload..

I am sorry...but I don't believe Cherry is denied until she replies to NOID. I would hesitate updating her ststus as denied. Immigration law is not as easy as it may seem. Just because he said that he has denied you does not mean that he is really going to deny it. Any denial must go through the a senior officer over him so it can be overruled. Either way, find yourself a lawyer, you may have to refile it again if you are really denied. It is really not the end of the road for you. So keep your head up.

Thank you so much, it really helps to have all of your opinions here and it's making me not to loose my hope. I hope everything will be better it was really long and stressful journey for me, I just don't understand why it's so unfair to judge people like he did to us, I am loyal resident who pays taxes and I have never done anything wrong in this country, I'm studying in College, I respect the law, why it's happening to me..

So, I'm still waiting to hear anything about an interview, I've had my case escalated twice now, and have been told to get an infopass appointment to extend my extension if I don't hear anything by Wednesday. They'll hopefully stamp my passport and my son's passport so that our one year extension won't expire. I just don't understand what the holdup is, I've been told we should have had our interview in October. It's really difficult to prove my work status here and I have not had anyone willing to hire me because they just don't understand that even with the expired card, I'm still legally here. I can get an ombudsman into it after my infopass, but I've also been told to just go straight on to the citizenship route and screw the ROC... Thing is, that helps me, but not my son, so I'm not sure at this point beyond just hoping that someone picks up our file and decides to do something with it.

It takes a couple of weeks to hear back. One week is too short of a time frame.

I went for an infopass today and got my passport stamped. TIP: If your last name in the passport is different, they ask for a passport photo. I had to go to Walgreens next door to get it.

The officer couldn't tell me anything about my case besides what I already knew. It is still processing in Vermont. She told me to wait for decision and not worry. At the same time she said a few times that my interview wasn't scheduled yet. I asked her if I was selected for an interview and she said NO. Confusing!!! It will be 11 months since I filed on April 25th.
