Honestly i wouldn't worry about the online status. Its probably something that is manually done and is something that the officers are not currently doing. The officers i saw today in Vermont were busy discussing how to get rid of the garlic smell that was lingering after one of them had eaten so i saw them as more of a regular office team than on task robots churning out emails and texts.

In my job, we send confirmation emails to people and when they dont get one, they worry because they think its automatic and it actually isnt so they think nothing has been done, however, if we say it was done then it was, the email makes literally no difference its just a courtesy thing. Its all done manually so we have to choose to do it and take that time and when we are particularly busy, we slip up at times and we dont do it.

I try to take the experiences of my job and see that sometimes the little things dont make a difference at all. Hang tight and wait for the card. If you get nothing in 60 days then give them a call.

I got approved today! I went for my interview and after waiting around 45 minutes, i got called in by the interviewer. He took me to a chair and took my fingerprints and photo, then took me to a kind of messy office in the back. He told me the interview would be filmed and had me stand in front of the camera, put up my right hand and swear i would tell the truth. Then he asked me to sit in any seat i liked (there were 3). He started off with asking me the correct name i was using, my ex husbands name, my daughters and my address then asked if i had been arrested or convicted of a crime. After answering those questions he said "Well im going to approve you so there is nothing to worry about". He then asked me why the marriage came to an end. I told him literally one tiny snippet and that was all he wanted to know.

He asked me if i had questions and i asked why it was me that was called for an interview. He said to explain what caused the end and to stamp my passport. I get the feeling that the service center wanted the interview and the field office (which happens to be down the road!) just saw everything as ok and he had made the decision before i had even walked in. He told me he will order production of the card today and he took away my green card and extension letter and put an I-551 stamp in my passport which is valid for 1 year from today.

So the truckload of evidence i took with me was not needed. They did not even want my new divorce decree which was the original problem! After the initial wait to get in, i was in and out in 5 minutes with an approval on the spot.

I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Thanks for sharing all your experience and giving us an idea of what is going on with the different cases. I am sending my RFE next week, and like you say, I think I have been already approved and that they are just asking for more documents to make time and justify their workload of cases.

Once again, CONGRATS!

My guess about the slower processing times and higher number of RFEs in Vermont vs California is that someone was repremanded for approving a prior case in the past and now they won't approve anything unless there is 5 pounds of paper accompanying the request for removal of conditions.

The classic case of punishing the innocent to make up for letting the guilty slip through the cracks.

And BTW our online status at USCIS is not current either. That feature is basically worthless.

I am re-reading my RFE letter, and to my surprise I found out that in the list of things they say I sent, there are some they do not mention. Like I send my tax transcripts, a copy of my military ID (dependent) and a copy of my TRICARE card (I am my wife's dependent), all the papers were send through a lawyer. So, my question is, did the lawyer not send those or immigration lost them? did this happen to anyone else?

Thanks

PS. the letter say not to re send what I have already sent, so what should I do?

I know the person, who got approved 1 day after me with less evidence than we originally mailed. They got no rfe and filed 3 months later than us, also VSC.

I really think May filers got majority of unnecessary RFE's.

I checked our rfe paper. They listed all submitted documents. And yes, they said not to send what was already send. We mailed them back all updated documents ( bank statements, car insurance, utility bills) and added more stuff.

You probably can send them unlisted documents again, just in case they lost it.

I was trying to find Power of attorney while my husband was deploying.. but I couldn't find so Whatever.. i didn't send it..

when My case transferred from vsc to csc I just sent everything even if they said do not send documents that you've already sent... I just guessed they lost it... because they didn't want specific one..

At first I thought that the military ID would serve as the DD 1172 form, but seems like I am wrong, now my wife is trying to find the form and she can not find it, do you know where can I get a copy? maybe I gotta go back to the base the problem is that is really far from my house :/

Oh by the way, would the VGLI show both names on it, or is it separate accounts?

Idk I sent his military orders too or not. I copied my dependant id front and back

2. SGLI (I am his beneficiaries)

(Service member's group life insurance election and certificate)

3. Met life card with all statement

4. DD form 93 (record of emergency data ) I sent 2 dd form 93 because 2 different address. 2012 2013

5. 1172 too.. can't remember well I still have scanned one.

My husband is active military so he contacted military base. Um... deers? Wherever you contact and if you ask about that they will let you know. I needed house agreement when I went housing office on base. I asked more question of baq allowance too but we didn't need it...I think deers or acs. You should go deers because it is dd1172 application for identification!!!!
