Hi i have bee trying to. get some one for week to updaye me nut no avail i am asking again RFE received on Dec 16 respond on Dec 20 ..got a letter to. Dated January. 30 received feb 7 for an interview on feb 26 ..has any who got a RFE got an interview and what should i expect ...oh and i should bring along to the interview. Tax return ,w2s bank statement ,cancelled check,pport,resident card,driver licience,lease or morgage aggrement,car insurance and registration, life insurance,utlility bill cable,light,water,phone,for the entirity of our marriage.and my spouse,,,dont think i miss anything

I'm a little worried. 8 days since approval, but my online status still the same "On May 9, 2014, we received your Form CRI-89, ..." . Approval letter never came to us, just to our attorney. I don't know what to think.

How long it takes for them to order and ship the card ?

ROC VSC mailed 5/7/14

NOA1 5/9

Check cashed 5/14

Biometrics current

RFE dated 12/18

RFE mailed 1/20

Approved 2/2 ! ( letter came from the local office)

Card received 2/17/15 !!!!

How long it takes for them to order and ship the card ?

Our approval letter says to contact them if the card doesn't arrive within 60 days. So, it may take that long.

We are approved!

Letter arrived last Saturday, 2/7/2015. The Decision date was 2/3/2015.

Thanks, yes I updated it.

We're thrilled that there was such a quick turnaround time after they received our RFE response. Moral of the story is to send as big a package as possible the first time!

Hello, can you tell me please what did they ask for on your RFE and what did you send? why do you think you received an RFE? My wife is out of the country for two months and if I get an interview that is gonna slow down all this even more

I got approved today! I went for my interview and after waiting around 45 minutes, i got called in by the interviewer. He took me to a chair and took my fingerprints and photo, then took me to a kind of messy office in the back. He told me the interview would be filmed and had me stand in front of the camera, put up my right hand and swear i would tell the truth. Then he asked me to sit in any seat i liked (there were 3). He started off with asking me the correct name i was using, my ex husbands name, my daughters and my address then asked if i had been arrested or convicted of a crime. After answering those questions he said "Well im going to approve you so there is nothing to worry about". He then asked me why the marriage came to an end. I told him literally one tiny snippet and that was all he wanted to know.

He asked me if i had questions and i asked why it was me that was called for an interview. He said to explain what caused the end and to stamp my passport. I get the feeling that the service center wanted the interview and the field office (which happens to be down the road!) just saw everything as ok and he had made the decision before i had even walked in. He told me he will order production of the card today and he took away my green card and extension letter and put an I-551 stamp in my passport which is valid for 1 year from today.

So the truckload of evidence i took with me was not needed. They did not even want my new divorce decree which was the original problem! After the initial wait to get in, i was in and out in 5 minutes with an approval on the spot.

I got approved today! I went for my interview and after waiting around 45 minutes, i got called in by the interviewer. He took me to a chair and took my fingerprints and photo, then took me to a kind of messy office in the back. He told me the interview would be filmed and had me stand in front of the camera, put up my right hand and swear i would tell the truth. Then he asked me to sit in any seat i liked (there were 3). He started off with asking me the correct name i was using, my ex husbands name, my daughters and my address then asked if i had been arrested or convicted of a crime. After answering those questions he said "Well im going to approve you so there is nothing to worry about". He then asked me why the marriage came to an end. I told him literally one tiny snippet and that was all he wanted to know.

He asked me if i had questions and i asked why it was me that was called for an interview. He said to explain what caused the end and to stamp my passport. I get the feeling that the service center wanted the interview and the field office (which happens to be down the road!) just saw everything as ok and he had made the decision before i had even walked in. He told me he will order production of the card today and he took away my green card and extension letter and put an I-551 stamp in my passport which is valid for 1 year from today.

So the truckload of evidence i took with me was not needed. They did not even want my new divorce decree which was the original problem! After the initial wait to get in, i was in and out in 5 minutes with an approval on the spot.

It certainly seems to be subjective as to which cases are looked at closely and which are not!

05/11/2018: Mailed documents I130, I485, I131,I693, NBC for Adjustment of Status

05/16/2018: Received Date/ Priority Date - NOA Received

05/25/2018: Received NOA Bio-metrics for I485 Appt: 06/10/2018

06/10/2018: Bio-metrics are completed

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved
