I haven't received an RFE. Everything I sent shows our address. On the tax forms, I literally sent every page. For the paper written by our sponsor, that is our lease.

I realize you didn't get an rfe, I was just showing that a letter doesn't carry much weight. Hmmmm......the paper, is it written out like a lease, and signed by all parties, etc.....it may be better if it looks like a lease and not a letter. It shouldn't matter that you do not pay rent. I'm just trying to come up with ideas.....

and looking back.....I replied to the wrong post......sorry....my reply goes to Cherry79......

this is why I keep quiet ususally.....cos I mess up :(

5/15/12 - checklist from NVC - needed different marriage certificate
5/20/12 - emailed other marriage certificate
5/21/12 - email received
5/29/12 - CASE COMPLETE! FINALLY!!!

6/4/12 - Interview Scheduled

7/22/12 - INTERVIEW! APPROVED! NO A/P. KEPT HIS PASSPORT

7/28/12 - Visa in hand

7/29/12 - POE Philadelphia!

It's fine. Don't think I meant my reply to be rude. Some people --including myself-- read replies and take them the wrong way. I figured you meant your reply for Cherry. And I wouldn't worry about messing up, the info you gave is good. Any advice is better than none.

I'm not sure if my wife and I signed the paper or not.

Thank you everyone for suggestions, We will definitely do everything what we can. I guess letter from our friend who is on lease will help little bit at least. Will see, I will let you guys know, when I'll send response.

We got our approval today! HUGE relief and best Christmas present we could've asked for! We really thought we wouldn't hear anything until the New Year. Good luck to the rest of our fellow May filers waiting for a decision or who have submitted an RFE.

Just got RFE ( thanks immigration for the great Christmas present) the date on the letter December 18.

I received the letter and no there was no notification by email or text.

They said the same thing everybody has said already that the evidence is not enouph and they need more.

We send identification showing both of us with the same adress

Recent joint lease agreement

Auto registration

Photos

Joint tax returnes from 2013

(2012 tax return filled single) which I think is what was a red flag (the reason is that due to financial issue it was better for him to file single which now we understand it was a mistake)

Joint auto insurance

Joint credit cards statement

Joint cellphone statements

Mail correspondence

So obviously all this wasn't enouph .. I honestly don't know what else to send. Besides a copy of the new lease agreement.

Let me know if anyone had a similar issue and what did they send that was enouph and how long it took.

I hope you have better news than I did.

As I mentioned we also got RFE on the 18th. The strange part is, only our lower received it. I guess our copy was lost in mail :(

We are turning the stuff upside down. Gathering more documentation. I found we have joined pet insurance. One is for the first dog, began in mid 2013, second for the second dog. This policy was purchased Oct. 2014. Can we use it for the RFE ?

We plan to send everything in January, after holidays are over.

Hey guys I called on the 12/17 to inquire about my case. A few days later I got letter dated 12/18 stating that my case was with a n officer. my question is has anyone gotten this letter before and if so how long after before I can expect a response? The letter says 60-90 days but Im praying we dont have to wait that long.

Just received my approval letter today. Dated. December 29, 2014

No interview or RFE. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

04-04-2012- I-130 filed at Seoul US embassy $420
04-19-2012- I-130 Approved(15 days)!!! Receive Case number and Packet 3.
05-03-2012 - Medical examination at Seoul St.Mary's Hospital(Passed) $170
05-05-2012 - Set Interview date for June 15
06-15-2012 - Interview (Approved) Case completed in 74 days! Could have been shorter!
06-18-2012 - Receive visa + brown envelope.
07-19-2012 - POE(Honolulu, Hawaii)
07-24-2012 - Receive SSN
07-29-2012 - Receive 2 year conditional Green card
08-02-2012 - Apply for State ID: Get 6-year Tennessee state ID.
03-22-2013 - Do written test at DMV for drivers license. Get 1-year Learner permit.
03-28-2013 - Pass drivers license test. Get 5 year drivers license. Done with the DMV until 2018!

Next step - Removal of conditions on green card: May 2014.

04-30-2014 Filed I-751 to remove conditions

05-05-2014 NOA1 receipt and extension of green card for 1 more year while it processes.

06-12-2014 Biometric Appointment

12-29-2014 Approval letter from USCIS with no interview needed! Done with USCIS till 2024 or when I apply for US citizenship. 

12-30-2014 Receives 10 year permanent green card.

 

Naturalization Process: 

06-29-2017 N400 filed 

07-05-2017 Check cashed 

07-11-2017 Received biometric appointment

07-12-2017 NOA 1 receipt 

07-26-2017 Biometric appointment 

09-13-2017 Case in line for interview 

04-23-2018 Interview (Memphis, N 400)  Passed!  Recommended for approval. 

05-24-2018 Oath ceremony notice was mailed. 

05-29-2018 Oath letter received. Date set: June 21st, 2018

06-21-2018 Oath ceremony: I am a US citizen. Done with USCIS (Day 332) 

 

Passport application:

06-22-2018 Apply for US passport and passport card 

06-27-2018 Passport application received and in progress. (Day 5)

07-11-2018 Passport and passport card mailed out. Expecting it by 7-17-2018. (Day 18)

07-13-2018 Passport book received.  (Day 20)

07-16-2018 Passport card and naturalization certificate received. (Day 23). 


Process complete: Time to start traveling.
