nothing, I checked the uscis website every single day, also I signed up for text or e mail alerts and nothing, so I guess they aren't updating the system. only the letter in the mail.

Hello everyone,

I haven't been here for a while. My husband hit the 7 month mark today. We did put in a service reqest about 2 weeks ago. I called yesterday and apparently the system was down. Of course, I called again to verify and got the same answer. This wait is crazy -_- With this rate, he'll be receiving his 10 year green card around the same time he submits his N-400 :rofl:

USCIS received my 1-751 application on May 2nd, 2014 and Today my application officially completes 7 months since they received the package and NOOooooo....!!!!! new news from them. Its been so long that last week I almost forgot that I filed an application with them. lol what a crazy wait time. I didn't receive any bio-metrics appointment as they dont need it now.

I-751 was sent to Vermont center..... :crying:

what evidence did they ask you for?

Nevin,

The letter we received didn't ask for specific items, but said that we didn't provide enough to prove joint financial responsibilities and joint residency. In our case, that is largely due to the fact that we are older adults, well past the age of having children together, with lives and financial affairs well established separately before getting married. For business reasons, it would be unwise to mingle titles to assets.

After we went through initial emotional distress that usually accompanies getting any cold, matter-of-fact letter from a government agency, we are taking the RFE in stride. We know that we are genuinely married, even if our lives don't fit their mold that they are looking for. Besides, the idea that marriage is all about money and tax forms is pretty cynical.

We are going to respond with as much "joint financial" info that we have, but also include information about what we have been through together in the past years (cancer diagnosis), even though that may be considered "soft evidence" by some.

Hope that helps you compare our RFE to your situation.

NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your NOA letter
Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment
Approved = The Date your case was approved

Hello!! I just checked my status online (believe it or not we are on our long awaited and delayed honeymoon, too!) and my card was being produced as of today. Good luck everyone! What a relief.

06/25/12-2 Year Green Card Approved

05/13/14-Mailed ROC

05/15/14-NOA Receipt Date

05/19/14-Check posted to account and NOA received in mail
