I-751 May 2014 Filers

Today I mark 6 months waiting since NOA on May 5th with no answer. I was wondering if I should call them or just give it another month. What do u guys think?

I called USCIS today as I filed my husband's ROC on April 24, 2014 and received my I-797 on 04/29/2014 stating his visa was extended for another year automatically to 07/18/2015.

The USCIS stated I need to call them back in 2 weeks from today as it will have been exactly 7 months for the visa process due to the back log.

So 11/18/2014 will be the exact 7 month date in which I can ask them to submit a service request regarding his Visa ROC processing.

Just some information for you others out there who filed in April 2014 and are waiting on the Vermont Service Center.

Ok, I've been patient up to this point, but now I'm pissed! I just checked the June filers, and 90% of the CSC have been approved and about 75% of the Vermont filers have been transferred to the CSC! ####### is going on?? If the June VSC filers start getting approvals before we do, Im headed to my Senator's office!!

I am sorry to hear that, I did not send any bank statements, i did send two credit cards with both names in it. Did they change the online notice too or you just got the letter in the mail?

No the online notice didn't change just a letter in the mail. They claim that the credit cards with both names on it isn't "proof" that the spouse is utilizing the card so they want joint statements. Problem is that an authorized user is never printed on a statement and the bank will not do so for you if you request it.

Good luck with yours, hopefully you have other information they deem acceptable. I am going to mail in tomorrow our entire bank statements since 2012 (60 pages worth!), airline tickets showing we have taken trips together, and more pictures. Hopefully that will be enough. We don't have kids, my wife is not on the home deed because she did not have a credit history at the time, and I think getting affidavits would be an unnecessary hassle...I mean really, anyone's friends can lie for them and claim they're telling the truth.

I was able to find joint credit card statements from another American Express card of ours. The nice thing with that is online there is an option to show both your spending (because Amex assigns a different card number to the authorized user so you can track their spending specifically). If I didn't have that there would be no way I could prove we both use the cards so I am very lucky to have that as most of our other credit cards do not have such an option!

Problem is that an authorized user is never printed on a statement and the bank will not do so for you if you request it.

I know what you mean, that is why I did not bother sending any bank statements. wWat I did the first time I applied for the green card is that I went to the bank and I got a letter from them saying that both of us were in the bank account, but when I went to the interview she basically said that I was stupid because I took that with me and that that did not proof anything. I went to the interview alone because my wife was in Afghanistan serving the country and the interviewer just treated me like a piece of..... saying that everything was a lie and that my wife was not there... Anyway this has been a hard road and the wait is killing me

Now the USCIS website has a new design, when I check my status online it says that it can;t give me any information right now and that I should contact them

question, when i check my case online it says that they've sent me a receipt. i went for my bio months ago, but it was never updated. anyone have any idea why? thanks

Okay, I see I have the same problem as CharlesReco.

I'm one of the first Vermont filers. I called one week ago to get my updated receipt number, as my biometrics was current, therefore no biometrics letter and receipt number came in the mail before. I didn't really feel the need to get it earlier, since it would've said "Initial Review" anyways. I also called to update my address because we had moved to a new house.

So, I got the number and checked my case. It said "Initial Review." I received a letter at my new address from the USCIS on Friday stating:

On 10/1/2014 you contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

Type of service requested: Change of Address.

Then at the bottom of the letter:

The status of this service request is:

After careful review of your request, it has been determined that your issues will be best addressed by the USCIS office having jurisdiction over your case. Therefore, we have taken the liberty of forwarding your service request to California Service Center. If you require additional assistance, forms and/or filing instructions, we invite you to visit our website etc. etc....

I'm going to call them to find out whether I am correct in assuming that my case has been transferred to California, and perhaps that is why I can no longer check my case status online. It just says that they can not provide any info, and that I should call them.

USCIS' new website is now showing that they received my I751 on 5/30 instead of the 5/16 that they originally showed and that is on my NOA1. What the hell is wrong with these people? Also, I called about the cases being transferred to CSC, and I was told "All cases received on/after 06/01/2014 are being sent from VSC to CSC to help equalize the workload". So, I think we will begin to see that June/July VSC filers will be processed before those of us stuck in the hellhole that is VSC because we were unlucky enough to be behind the cutoff date.
