Hello Everyone, I just want to check in and update you all.

I received a RFE on August 11th and responded to it on September 5th

Today I received an email and text message that my card is in production. Words cannot explain how i am feeling right now. I was told that i would be denied because i got divorced. I gave my marriage my all and refused to stay when my husband cheated and had a baby by another woman.

A big thank you to everyone who offered their support and kind words of encouragement. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

I am in the same boat as you were, probably worse. My wife decided to divorce me before ROC. My case is even worse because we were living apart for the duration of marriage as she was going to college. I am not worried though. Divorce itself was such a devastating and traumatic event that there are very few things that worry me now.

I wouldnt worry too much either. As long as your marriage was entered in good faith, thats the only thing that matters in my opinion. When i found out that my ex husband was having a child by someone else, I honestly didnt care about my status or GC anymore. I wanted out of that marriage and not even a GC would make me stay. We were married for exactly 2 yrs and we separated about 7 months after i received my conditional greencard so we didnt live together for that long. Also keep in mind that we didnt have a joint lease, mortgage, or bank accounts....

I think my personal statement (10 pages) did the job in my case because i didnt hold back anything. Also, the things that i didnt have, i just explained the reason why they were not avaialable.

Thank you for your kind words. My personal statement is not very long. May be about three pages. I probably should have given them more detail. But I did submit joint bank accounts, car loan, tax returns, medical and life insurance and copy of thousands of facebook/email messages that we sent eachother over the years. Congurtulations once again and good luck with your future!

Please add me to the list, mailed the I751 on May 3, Received the NOA1 on May 13. Never receive the biometrics appointment letter, emailed them and they said the biometrics is not required for me, still don't know why....Is that what Current meant? Oh yeah, I mailed to VSC.

Just asking I am patiently awaiting my husbands 10 year green card/ appointment letter. We are planning on going away over seas. Do I need to get an infopass to get some kind of documentation on passport? Maybe this Is not for here but I just thought I would ask. Thank you (L)

Some applicants make an infopass to get a I-551 stamp in their passports otherwise your expired GC + NOA extension letter should be good enough!

Just came back and browsed around the forum today.

I've read somewhere that the VSC is now catching up on filers in March. So I guess the earliest that any of us May filers would be able to hear anything from VSC will be late December.

Definitely before February 2015. I sincerely hope so..
