I went overseas at the beginning of the year too, but I don't think they took all my fingerprints. Just a few. Anyway, I really hope they won't take that picture :D

I'm fairly sure that all International terminals have the standard 4-4-2 scanner as shown in the article mentioned by KASH2011. As far as I know the CrossMatch Guardian USB is the standard piece of equipment at airports.

We're gonna attempt a early bio walk-in (not because we want them early, but because we're no longer in the same state as the bio letter wants him to get his bio done) this Monday at the local Des Moines office. Wish us luck

I got email saying that my biometrics information is current since I made Service Request . So I called today and eventually I got to talk to 2nd tier officer after 40 mins hold. I asked politely for my new case ID no so that I can check my status online. He said its good thing that I do not have to do biometrics again but I won't be able to check my status online. I have one year ext. so its gonna take time. He verified my info and said thank you and have a great day and hanged up the phone.

so questions.

1. I know no biometrics is recent change made in April but still does this gonna delay or speed up the process? Any ideas?

2. Now should I call again which is a pain and try to get my new case ID # so that I can track my status.

or don't even worry about it since the online status is not consistent and does not get updated regularly.............and if there is any change or update or RFE they send mail.

3. Since we move from another state to TX while in conditional status..so does the moving gonna delay my process or it just gonna be normal process time?

So please share your experience.

11-04-2011 sent AOS to Chicago lockbox

11-07-2011 delivered

11-08-2011 Date on text messages but did not receive until 11-22-2011

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!

I was wondering, of all those people who have been told that their biometrics are not required, have any of them left and come back into the country in the past year? They do biometrics upon re-entry, could they be using these? Just a thought.

Pui left in the begning of December 2013 for 2 weeks to go back to Thailand when her Dad passed away. I'll have to ask her tomorrow if she remembers if she was finger printed when she came back since I am at work and she is sleeping right now.

Pui is still waiting for her biometrics in St Paul. How did you get you biometrics waived?

I was at my 30 days with no biometrics letter, I called USCIS the first agent took my information and transferred me to another agent. I was on hold for 5 minutes and got disconnected. I called back went through the same questions and was again put on hold. 45 minutes later the agent came on the line and had me verify who I was, asked when the last time I had my fingerprints done. I told her it was almost 2 years ago when I adjusted my status. She said they accessed them June 2nd and accepted them, due to new policies, so you are set. She then gave me my case status number. I entered the number on the USCIS site for updates and it works! She also told me that even though the website says 6 months for approval it can be upwards to 7-8 months. My extension is good for a year so she told me not to worry, simply wait for an interview letter or approval letter. All three agents I spoke to were very friendly.

Since 2009 all non-US citizens, including Green Card holders are fingerprinted on re-entry.

According to this statement I am assuming whoever here that did get biometrics appointment didn't re-entry in last 2 years ?
