I'm mobile so I don't want to edit the chart (don't want to mess it up) but we sent our packet on April 29 and have an NOA1 date of May 6.

We've seen nothing since then and our case number isn't working on uscis' website, but I think I read in this thread that I need the one on our biometrics letter. I didn't realize they were different so I'm glad to know something isn't just broken. That said, I haven't gotten a biometrics letter either and we're at a month today so I guess I'm going to have to call them if I want our case number. Blah.

Anyway, just wanted to join you all.

I wouldn't worry too much about the USCIS case number if I were you... for the entire year that we were going through the CR-1 visa process, our USCIS case number said "under review", and continues to say that to this day (two years AFTER successfully receiving the conditional green card, and two months into applying for the permanent green card). So checking that website every day, we discovered, can be misleading

As an update: did our biometrics the day before yesterday!

The whole thing took about 10-15 minutes. It was basically like being at a very uncrowded DMV, but with more kids than usual.

I guess now we wait several months for a letter of some kind (acceptance, hopefully)?

I have a two questions, my driver's license expires and I do not have my GC yet, can I go with the receipt to the DMV? at least here in GA DMV service is horrible and they are very rude and unhelpful so probably they will not take that letter as a proof.

And also, to apply for citizenship is it one year after the first GC expires, or one year on the issue date of the 10 year GC?

It's a State-by-State thing, but you definitely can in N.C.

Hi everyone .. I filed my application 5/8 and got the NOA1 but even now when I check my case status online I can't see it:

"

• Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

Ok I think I found my answer. The case status # on NOA1 doesn't work .. you need to use case status on Biometrics letter to get any information.

My check cleared yesterday!!!!

Before that, USPS Priority Mail had me worried. My package was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday May 31. So here's what happened:

• Saturday May 31 AM: arrived at local post office. Delivery due date - Monday June 2.
• Monday June 2 AM: out for delivery.
• Monday June 2 PM: "Delivery status not updated". WTH!!!!!!
• Tuesday June 3 AM: Packaged delivered SATURDAY 3 PM. WTH!!!!! Why is the USPS messing with my blood pressure???!!!!!

Called USCIS and talked to a tier 2 person since this day marks my 30th day with not having to receive any biometrics appointment letter.This guy told me that there's no biometrics date on my file and that he said USCIS recently changed some of their policies and some people don't need to do biometrics anymore.I asked him my case number but he said I just have to wait.I'm not sure why he did not give me my case number though.I told him I need it to track my case...This really is making me a bit stressed because I don't want to have that feeling of not knowing what's going on.Btw, has anyone here called and got their case numbers?
