I am the petitioner for my parents residing in China. They belong to US consulate in Guangzhou.

NVC just emailed me the instructions on paying the Affidavit of Support fee online. Do I complete the payment of AOS first, then wait for the instruction on complete DS 260, then opt in electronic filing?

Right now, the case number I have starts with GUZ.

thanks so much.

the time to send off the ENROLL

email

is

when the AOS FEE BILL hits yer email inbox. [the event that yer writing about]

Remember - 2 casefiles, 2 ENROLL emails.

is ok to pay - the back end will rehome the casefile payment history GUZ to GZO over a coupla days.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks Darnell, I am so glad to hear from you. My parents are in Wuhan and I am living in Houston as well!

I will submit enrollment email for my mom now.

BTW, I sponsor both of parents at the same time, now my mom's case has been assigned GUZ number, I am still waiting for my Dad's case to be assigned GUZ number. It seems like there is one month apart between their cases. Does that mean they will get two different interview date? Is it possible to have them go to interview on one day?

interview dates are assigned after the case is completed,

so

if you want to have the casefiles married up, joined together at NVC,

wait a bit, hassle NVC in the interim about the other casefile via telephone.

you control the pace at NVC, so it's OK to hold off a bit...
