I have been in this since November last year, preparing for it since way before that, this process in maddening. That they now just give de facto residency to illegals who totally skipped it and want to give them citizenship too is beyond absurd. We need to make our voices heard.

We all have different stories but the separation is common for most of us.. Not everybody can deal with it but you knew what you were going into when you started it.

My fiancé and I haven't hear anything from uscis since january and even though I visited him just a few days ago, I terribly miss him. These visas take too long, but when love is real, it's just a matter of time..!

Good luck !

Its a killer, but it will make your relationship stonger because you had to fight for it.

When we were apart I spent hours and hours making a "wedding planner" scrap book, Cherished every moment on the phone with each other, did stomach flips when I received a FB message and we wrote love letters each week.

Now im settled and married in America I actually miss those precious months apart. I used to live for that phone call, that message, that letter. I had butterflies in my belly 24/7 LOL.

Keep busy. Very busy. Surround yourself with all your friends and family.

I always used to tell myself... every minute apart is another minute closer to us being together.
