10 years ago I thought things could change.... now it would seem the race solidarity is so strong..... I mean even here on Vj there are what would seem like educated, reasonable African Americans, yet with any event concerning race, the defense of nearly all things black is the knee jerk reaction.

Even after white people put the "first Black man in the white house" we still hear about the "pervasive, extensive" number of racists in the country (though in reality we are rated as one of the LEAST racist countries)

What am I doing to help?

Of course my tax returns might speak louder than anything else. (and this year it hurt).

But why do you ask me that question.... why it is assumed it is my role in life to "help" Blacks or anyone else for that matter?

Why assume I was put on this earth to work for the benefit of those who had every opportunity that I did... in some ways more.

I highlight with statistics the destruction of the Black community is rooted in the destruction of the family..... you pipe right up and refute this with a success story here or there.

News flash for ya.... they are "your people" (as the attorney general reminded us) the responsibility is on you first. What are you doing?

I don't even see a sizable number of Black folks in the wealthy 1st world doing anything to help the plight of blacks in Africa.

I'll bet anything I have sent more money to feed hungry kids in africa than 99% of Black americans (and I have not sent all that much).

I did not know that white people alone voted for Obama. Let you tell it, all black people voted for him and put him in office because he is black. And just because someone voted for Obama doesn't mean they are not racist. Donald is dating a half black, half Mexican lady and he is racist. Do you see how this works?

We are not "defenders" of the black race. When something is wrong, it is wrong. When something is right, it is right. We do not like your "all black people are bad" mentality. You focus on black problems as if only black people have problems. This is wrong. Blacks, Muslims and Hispanics are the only people who are blamed as a whole group every time one person in that group does something. Please show me an example when all white people are blamed for something they do? there are none. Baby killings, robbing, rapes are not done by only one race. These are crimes committed by different races. Terrorism is not prone to just Muslims only. Look at Aryan brotherhoods.

Nobody is going to say all Spanish people are racist after this incident that happened on tv. But had this been an African country who threw things at white players the comments would have been, all Africans are bad, that's why I never want to visit Nigeria or any other dumb comments to be made.

This is the differences we are talking about.

And I know Danno, talking to you is like talking to a mountain without faith, it will never move.

I agree but the term is what it is and as with most terms it is flexible.
