Getting married in Vegas on Saturday, I have only been once before (and I really don't remember a lot), and my other half has never been.

Anyone got any tips on what to do, where to go?

I know its not exactly visa related, but I mean, hey, it doesn't hurt to bring back the memories for a little.

I didn't get married there but I've been and I'd definitely recommend the Stratosphere skyscraper with the rides on top for a great view and lots of fun if you didn't go before.

On a slightly related note, when telling people that you married an American has anyone been asked "Did you get married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator?" I've been asked that bloody question more than a few times!

Drinking, gambling and strippers. You'll have a lovely time together!

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

We're having our honeymoon in Vegas! I've been before but my fiancé hasn't, we're both excited.

I'd say book tickets to a show or two, should be easy enough to google to find out what's on when you're there. I'm going to drag him round all the free shows they have on the strip and take him up to Fremont street etc. The gondola ride in the Venetian looks cheesy but romantic. I think they now have a huge ferris wheel there too, similar to the London eye, might be worth a visit.

We got married at the Bellagio Hotel last Nov, on the same terrace in front of the fountains the final scene of 'Oceans 11' was shot. Just us and our 4 kids. Upon checking in for our two standard adjoining rooms we were upgraded to a two-bed Penthouse Suite... It was an awesome experience, lovely hotel (had never been to that one but I'd been to Vegas 5 times before) plenty for us to do and the hotel organized everything to do with the wedding - limo to get the license, flowers, Celebrant, photographer, etc. Not one single friend asked us the 'Elvis impersonator' question although I wouldn't have been adverse to it...
