Same Day Marriage Certificate California or Nevada

Were you talking about Rev. Carol Behar, the wedding officiant or is it someone different at the Lompoc office.

I was exploring the Lompoc official website & stumbled upon a list of wedding officiant by name Carol.

Sorry for my ignorance!

No, Carol works in the office. IDK if she's still there, as that was a year ago. For your earlier question, I think you just need your passport to get married, and I thnk you need a witness but you can pay for one there. I don't know anything about the ceremony or where they have it, because we didn't get married there (we did it at a winery in the area), but call Carol at the office. She's got all the answers!

That is what we plan to do. We will "pay' for the witness & get it done there. I guess we both can present ourselves in person (without prior appointment) & start the marraige lic/certificate process right away!.

I will anyways call the office before starting our long drive!

The only thing that might hold you up is if you don't have a venue and want to do it at the courthouse (or wherever they do it in Lompoc), and there are no openings. You should call asap and secure the venue. Then make sure you have an officiant. And BTW, I live in Lompoc. If I'm in town when you're doing the deed, I'd be happy to be a witness for free!

This may be awkward, but if it's after June 5, I can offer to be a witness. I live right there, in the Santa Ynez Valley. I won't even charge you, and I won't awkwardly tag along for dinner after. But if not, that's okay too. Ricnally, which winery? I LOVE where I live!!

Babcock, but they don't normally do weddings. We had it there because I used to work there and my "Dude of Honour" is the winemaker. It was pure coincidence that the one place we found that could get the marriage cert to us right away and the one place we most wanted to get married were one and the same! I love SYV too!

Just an update.

We got married at Sacramento, CA on the 19th of May 2014, got Marriage license & certificate on the same day!

The entire process took about less than a hour. They provide witness too with a fee of course. Looks like many places do offer the service of giving the certificate the same day. Since it was better for us to drive to Sacramento than to Lompoc, we chose that.

We are now getting ready with the AoS paper work.

I got married in Vegas last November but you cannot get an official marriage certificate right away - they give you a small 'temporary' one but you have to order the proper official certificate that you use for AOS online and that took about a week after ordering to arrive.

I didn't really think the delay was that big a deal, I filled out my AOS paperwork in the meantime and went and got all my photos taken etc. and sent it off with a copy of the official marriage certificate after it arrived.

We stayed and got married at the the Bellagio Hotel and it was really wonderful.

thank you so much for your reply..I googled myself to death but couldnt find a definite answer if or of not you can just walk to county clerk with your paperwork to get the certificate..my visa will expire three days after the wedding and it would make me feel a bit safer to apply for AOS right away, even though I know its not a big deal if we file two weeks later.

I DID talk to Carol in the Lompoc office the other day, and you're right; she's awesome! I told her about her wonderful reputation on this site, and she was happy to hear about it.

My fiance' and I booked our wedding appointment today and we're getting married in Santa Barbara. I talked to a lady named Marlene, also very nice, who, when I explained my reason for wanting to go to Lompoc for the same-day marriage certificate, she said I could do the same in SB. She made a note of it in our appointment, and said we'd be good to go that very day. So... Santa Barbara it is, in a little less than 4 weeks. CAN'T WAIT!
