Any help is very appriciated.. my case was like this i done fill up the DS-260 last January 31, 2014 i got confirmation the next day. Our lawyer send our packet febuary 14, 2014 it said i was delivered Febuary 18, but we never get any notification from nvc that they got the packet recieve. We try to wait and wait and wait everytime we ask the attorney they said it is take 3 to 6 weeks to review the packet but its already April so my husband to to contact the nvc April 14, 2014 to check and they said that they never the packet yet so i ask the attorney why the nvc said that they didn't get the packet but they just said that they already send it. It is so stressfull to know that the packet is not yet there. And the attorney didn't do something to figure it out. So it is so cleared that the attorney didn't do the job for us but they just mess up our petition. After a week tried again to contact the nvc and they said that they got the packet April 23, 2014, how come that it send Febuary 14, 2014 but they just got it April 23, 2014. Now the ITR of my husband that we send is 2012 do we need to change it 2013? Any any advice for this? One thing we fired the attorney that we got coz they never do their job any advice if it will affect my petion since i fired them for us? :( :(

No. You shouldn't have used an attorney to start with.

I'm guessing it didn't actually take 2 months to get there. It got there in a timely manner but the date you have is when someone FINALLY opened your packet or put it in the system.
