-I thought that kinda thing was fairly common. You love your wife, you hate her mom. You love your wife can't stand her italian temper.

Aren;t you the one always pointing out (rightly so) that "individuals in any group are not all alike?"

So for example -= it is completely possible to love a White man but dislike to be around whites in general.

Sounds to me like this is that exact case here.

Not liking a mother in law because she wanted her daughter to marry a surgeon instead of a dentist is quite different than telling someone you date they cannot associate with anyone from their race.

As usual, we don't agree. I cannot imagine telling my husband he cannot associate with any Sri Lankans at all.

Not the first rodeo for Donald "Dirt bag" Sterling.

Has settled 2 housing discrimination lawsuits, the Eglin Balylor wrongful termination and racial discrimination suit, the Danny Manning racist comments, and now his tongue has gotten him busted.

Some track record Donald! Some people never learn.

Well I guess we know who ISNT going to get that NAACP lifetime achievement award I really don't know anything about the guy, I'm curious to know what he has done to be recognized with that award.

For me I don't really care what he said. I'm more concerned with racial profiling, police misconduct, disproportionate sentencing when it comes to race etc etc.Tangible acts of racism.....but that is just me, I grew up in the same city as Marge Schott so his comments don't come to a surprise. I mean hell we have an NFL team named after a racial slur, Redskins!

I just don't understand how someone could reach such a high level of wealth as a businessman and allow something stupid like this to come out. The smart racists keep their mouths shut because racism is bad for business - or at least keep it in the family of other like minded people. I imagine folks will boycott his games and he'll pay in the pocket if nothing else. I don't know much about the NBA rules when it comes to these things, but in the NFL the owners have to collectively vote out an owner. I can't find any information on it now, but I don't think the commish can remove an owner. Most owners won't do it, I'd put some money on that. They will stick together in my opinion.

He's rich. He'll do some mea culpas, write a few checks to people, open up a rec center in the hood and people will forget. Rich people don't abide by the same rules as the rest of us 99ers% If any of us said something like this in our workplace or equivalent we would be out of a job.

But people do this all the time and in so many ways, for some reason you see the one area of race as unique, i think the same thing can go on at many levels.

I have seen people embarrassed because their their partners former station in life.

Perhaps he is embarrassed of his in-laws .... they are miles away from the types of people he is accustomed to associating with and would be very embarrassed if they knew the life his wife actually came from.

We see this all the time, for some reason you are only offended when the issue is race.

I knew a guy who could not help but mention after every visit how fat his wife's family is... and how they eat and all that.

You either except the person and everything that comes with it or you don't,

Clippers lost and looked bad. They are not into it.

They also right before the game tossed their warm up shirts and threw them on the Clippers log and turned their shirts inside out.

The Clippers are one of the best teams in the NBA this year and are expected to maybe win the championship...or were. They go out it is anybodies time to win it all.

I don't think they lost on purpose but their concentration may be off. This happened at the worse time possble.

Yes thanks to him he may have cost his team a rare championship. The Clip fans are the big loser. That is why the NBA has to take the team away. More of that tape came out today and it gets worse.
