Hi All,

Had my medical on the 17th April, and the Embassy logged my results on the 25th April.. Anyone have any ideas how long it may take to hear from the Embassy about an interview date? The reason I ask is my fiancé is over visiting from the 2nd May for a couple weeks, and i hoping (probably unrealistically) that the interview would be around the time she was here..

i sent in my readiness form on the 8th April..

Anyone recently had a medical who has already got an interview date?!

Thanks!

I had my medical April 7th, submitted my readiness form April 3rd (I think it was processed April 10th) and received my interview letter on April 16th. My interview date is May 9th.

If you look not the US London embassy twitter page, they tell you when they process readiness for interview applications. I think yesterday they were processing ones for April 23rd, so safe to assume yours has been processed.

Have you checked the CEAC website? My case for updated on April 17th (my letter got posted on April 16th, so I'm making the assumption in hindsight that this was the Department of State logging my interview date)

I hope that helps.

Cheers for the answers guys

My CEAC was updated on the 25th April which I believe is when the embassy logged the reciept of the medical results. Not sure if they sent the letter yesterday too but I will keep an eye on it over the next few days and see if there is another update which should be the interview date set and letter sent out.

In all seriousness, I would think having your fiancé at the interview bodes well for the authenticity of your relationship, should you need any such evidence. Maybe they would choose to speak with her also as part of the interview process?

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

I had my medical on March 12 and submitted readiness form on March 25. Heard back on April 12 for an interview on Tuesday May 6. I used the contact form just to email check after two weeks since I submitted my readiness form and was granted an interview time very quickly after that (like within hours)

Right, i will update - got an interview date for May 19th.

So to put that in order:

Packet 3 received - 3rd April

DS-160 Done - 8th April

Notification of readiness - 8th April

Medical - 17th April

Medical Logged - 25th April

Packet 4 Received - 30th April

Interview - 19th May

the crazy thing is my fiancé is coming to London for two weeks from friday, and leaves on Saturday 17th May, if only my interview was one working day earlier, she would have been there with me.

However, I am sure it will make us both feel better that we know the end of this 'ordeal' is close!!

Did you use the contact form to ask them for an interview while your fiancé was there and give them dates?

I didn't in the end, but I'm not sure it would have made a difference as the letter was sent before I would have even sent in the request. Doesn't matter now we are happy to have an interview date.
