When you get a moment,

grab a PC,

revisit this web portal,

and click on the word 'Guides' towards the top.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

An LPR can only file for a spouse and unmarried children.

There is no means for your cousin to come to the US to marry.

His fiancee will need to travel to him and get marry before she can petition him.

Thanks for the information.

But again I have some questions.

1. On which visa category an LPR should file for his/her spouse?

2. If so, what is the max. processing time to get visa?

3. I heard about f2a visa. Does he come under that category? So what is the processing time in that case(she is from Florida, so comes under Texas service center).

Please reply..

1. F2a

2. No such thing as a max time. The process usually takes 2-3 years, but there is no max time. A person can be places in AP which adds years to the wait.

3. Does not matter. She files at the lockbox. She does not get to decide where the petition goes. And getting the petition approved is only the first part.

Aaron,,

Can you please describe the process in detail? I am not much familiar with some of these words even.

Actually we need to know how much time will it take to get the visa processed? Heard like 6 months maximum. Is it so?

Thanks

No for A LPR it will take more than 6 months. With retrogression about I happens it can easily take 12- 24 months or more.

You can do a web search to understand retrogression.

From a process standpoint

Marry

Collect your civil documents. Do a web search on what are these

File 1-130 do a web search. Uscis has great instructions.

Once I-130 is approved your application And your priority date is current your application goes to national visa center. And please search visa journey on this.

Lastly your interview Is scheduled at local us consulate.

Take the interview

And then immigrate

Please do some research. This website has great information. If this information is insufficient please also feel free to higher a lawyer. Who can be more detailed.

I met a girl during my interview, she was on f2a visa and it took her about 6 months. That is Malaysia so I am not sure about other country nor the visa. Just letting you know what I heard from others experience.

Can you do a K-1.,.,only about 6 months, or could be much less. Did not see if you were married or not. If married, then an I-130.,.,.and that is 12-16 months.

IF.,, not married, do the K-1.,,.much quicker, and easier. Some will disagree with that remark, because of AOS.,.,.,."which was nothing for us.,..,. nothing!"
