I have all the docs and forms ready to go. Just waiting on USCIS to ship my case to NVC? What's the shortest possible time to get case complete? And what is there to do to speed up the process? Waiting 4-6 weeks just to get case number seems unreasonable.

There isn't much you can do; NVC are notoriously slow and have been for some time now.

Yes they seem slow. Before getting my NOA2 I was under the impression that I will be in and out of NVC in no more than 6 weeks. Now seems more like 3-4 months :(

I would say 3 - 4 months is a little on the high side.

Of course it's unreasonable! But what portion of this process has been reasonable so far. By far the majority of people right now are waiting at least 2 weeks for the file to arrive at NVC and then a further 4 weeks to be assigned a case number. From case number assignation, the average time to case complete so far this year is about 55 days.

It seems like if you've got all the docs and forms ready, you've done everything you can at this stage to speed things up. Start calling NVC to find out when they receive your file, then maybe once a week until you get your case number. Then follow the NVC wiki step by step, and you'll get through as fast as possible!

Good luck!

I know the feeling and I can empathize. When we were at the NVC stage they changed the fees and we were delayed an extra 4 or 5 weeks because of it. Right before they changed the fees cr1 cases were making through NVC in about 3-4 weeks and it took us 3 months. Hang in there, you're near the end. Nothing about this process is easy, but in the end it's worth every minute of the wait. My husband has been here a year and a half and we are as happy as happy can be. In fact we leave in 2 weeks to visit his family in Jordan, his first visit home since he arrived in the US. We are bringing the kids with us(their first visit) and we are excited that while we are in Amman, Pope Francis will be there, so we plan on going to see him. My children and I are Catholic so this is HUGE for us!!! Keep the faith my friend!

Thanks for the kind words. I will be happy if I can be out of NVC in two months.

Enjoy your trip to Jordan. Very exciting that you will get to see Pope Francis.

At this point, the average time at NVC for 2014 is about 55 days from Case Number Assigned to Case Complete. This does not count the time from USCIS until NVC assigns the case number.

Good luck! I'm waiting for "Case Complete" - hopefully next week.

I would check the average wait time for Jordan. Your country of origin has a lot to do with how long the whole process takes. Also, some countries are often put in Administrative Processing for months even after they are "approved".

How do I find out the wait times for Jordan?

2 weeks to be entered into NVC systems after receiving NOA2 for us.

I'm not sure I'm reading the CEAC status messages correctly. I called NVC and got my case number and when I checked the status it said IN TRANSIT then switched to READY the next day.

Is NVC known to ship documents overnight due to expedited review or maybe they're sent electronically now? I haven't had a chance to contact the embassy because it was after hrs in Warsaw when I saw the status updated to READY.
